Senior Legal Counsel - Pharmaceutical/FMCG Singapore. 10 PQE.

Due to expansion, this global MNC in the life sciences and FMCG industries seeks a seasoned Legal Counsel with experience in anti-corruption and internal investigations.

You will have in depth experience of US and UK anti-corruption laws, (including FCPA, AML and anti-bribery legislation) and have previously managed (internally or externally, including the coordination of resources) and conducted internal investigations with regards to potential violations (local or international law) and breaches of internal policy and procedure.

As this is a regional role, you will have Asian experience, especially with countries such as China, India, Korea and Japan, as well as enforcement trends and business practices. In addition, prior dealings with government agencies in the relevant context will be looked upon favourably. You will also work with internal clients to conduct training and enhance compliance awareness and processes.

You will be called to a recognised jurisdiction (civil or common) and have a minimum of ten years experience in private practice with a preferred litigation background. In depth experience in conducting sensitive internal investigations with a US MNC or US Private Practice is required, along with the gravitas to work with multiple business partners and senior stakeholders. Extensive travel is required.

Head of Legal - Construction Singapore. 10 PQE.

This organisation is a global player in the construction industry and seeks a Head of Legal to oversee its Asia concerns.

As the legal head, you will oversee all aspects of the business from operational documentation to large scale construction throughout the region (including China, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam). You will have the gravitas and ability to work with senior stakeholders on strategic and business expansion plans, handle local and international project work, and mitigate risk where necessary in the company’s interest. In addition to rendering mature legal advice to necessary senior stakeholders, you will ensure the company is compliant with applicable laws throughout the region. Corporate and litigation expertise is also required, as well as the ability to mediate or assist to resolve conflict situations.

You will be called to a recognised Bar, or have a minimum of a legal degree, with excellent experience in commercial agreements. With your corporate expertise and depth of experience in construction and/or engineering law, you will have a chance to lead from the front and underscore an already distinguished career.
