Why do we do it ?
At 13 per cent, the UK has one of the lowest rates of forest coverage compared to the 44 per cent average in Europe. There has never been a more important
time to ensure that we plant more and protect what we have.
We now know from geological records that increasing CO2 levels are the biggest influence on climate change, trees specialise in removing
excess CO2 from our atmosphere.
➢ On a frosty December day we brought together over 85 corporate & community volunteers to plant 1000 trees to create a Honeybee wood
➢ David Bradley from Harry Potter came along which made the volunteers happy and it made the news
➢ This event raised people’s awareness of their ability to make a positive impact, it will reduce CO2 levels & provide homes for insects & wildlife.
➢ It was a great corporate volunteering opportunity, offering exercise, fresh air and a sense of purpose, increasing employee engagement and retention.
“Inspirational people making a difference. I just think it’s great that young people are aware and are doing something about it.” David Bradley
