Tackling central issues facing marketers, you’ll develop the latest skills and techniques to become an effective leader in a variety of fast-paced sectors such as marketing, communications, public relations, advertising and sales. Your second year (Level 5)

We encourage all of our students to immerse themselves in business to enrich their studies and bring a thought-provoking discussion to the classroom applying experiences interning in the industry and participating in business challenges. In your second year, you’ll build on the principles learnt and delve deeper into the latest digital marketing tools and techniques, studying a total of 120 credits.

Dr Elizabeth Miller Deputy Dean and Programme Leader, Business Management Degrees An award-winning teacher and writer, Elizabeth brings international experience, specialising in research with a PhD from the University of Sydney and an MSc Education from the University of Oxford.

Kate Jones Marketing Tutor Kate has taught business and marketing related topics at Universities such as Kingston and Birkbeck. She holds a Masters of Research from Kingston University, where she is also studying for a PhD in consumer psychology. Prior to working in academia, Kate worked on many well-known brands across all corners of the globe, including Maltesers, Dove, Jaguar Land Rover and Vodafone.

Simon Hall Business and Marketing Tutor Simon is a former Chief Marketing Officer at Dell UK, with around 25 years experience in Information Technology and Services, Telecommunications and Multimedia across B2B and B2C, including Microsoft, Toshiba and Phillips. Simon is also the author of ‘Innovative B2B Marketing’.

Mike Gulvin Business and Marketing TutorMike lived in Japan for 12 years and spent 11 years in Vietnam where he worked in higher education as a department head for English and then he moved on to teach business modules. He owns a serviced apartment building there and also ran a small brand awareness company for a while. Mike has two Master's degrees one in Marketing and the other in Contemporary Popular Knowledge.
