Set in the picturesque grounds of Walpole Park, Pitzhanger Manor is a Grade I listed house,

designed and owned by Sir John Soane between 1800 and 1810. He was an architect and

surveyor, whose famous works include the Bank of England and Dulwich Picture Gallery.

Pitzhanger was his countryside residence, to which he escaped with his family, and friends such

as J.M.W. Turner, fishing in the Serpentine in Walpole Park, Soane’s own personal gardens.

This house was designed to be a party house, and so it is the perfect venue for special

ocassions, weddings and events. The house truly comes to life when it is filled with the smell of

champagne and sound of laughter.

We have a number of spaces within the Manor and it’s grounds all unique in their own right with

a variety of capacities to suit your needs.

We can host your event in any of our stunning spaces between the following times:

SOANE SUITE & CONSERVATORY

Comprising of 4 interconnecting rooms including the beautiful conservatory.

The architecture and ceiling arches makes this a unique spot like no other. This suite of rooms

were designed entirely by Soane, through which he expressed himself in an architectural self-

portrait. During the day, the space is flooded with an array of colours from the stained glass

windows. The rooms overlook the pristine surrounding grounds, a lovely setting in which guests

can move out into on a summer’s night.

THE GALLERY


The perfect location for events from corporate parties, to a casual drink reception.

Network under Soanian-inspired stained glass skylights, with a glimpse of the stars.

The Gallery is an exclusive space with very limited times of availability due to it being an

exhibition space, however please do ask our Event Manager for dates of availbility

THE GEORGIAN EATING ROOM

The room is adorned with pastel blues and greens, hand painted onto the walls. The windows

look onto manicured gardens, which guests can flow into. As the name suggests, it was used

as the dining room in Soane’s time, where he entertained neighbours, friends, academicians,

artists, theatre people, clients and prospective clients but rarely other architects.

UPSTAIRS DRAWING ROOM


The Upper Drawing Room is decorated with mesmerising hand painted wallpaper, bringing to

life tropical scenes. Although Soane did not design this room himself, he added his own personal

touches to the décor with his red and white central rose colour scheme of the ceiling.

SOANE’S KITCHEN

Soane’s Kitchen is a perfect contemporary space for dinners, dancing and drinks reception

Soane’s Kitchen, in Walpole Park, is inside Sir John Soane’s original walled kitchen garden.

Guests can flow out into the beautiful gardens and even have all windows open to offer the

perfect inside, outside event

THE COLONNADE

The most beautiful outside setting with a covered collonade, perfect for small and intimate

weddings and drinks receptions, with direct access to the landscaped courtyard.

MENU DESIGN At Social Pantry, we will work with you to design the perfect menu for your day so

your guests know exactly what is being served. We love using fresh flowers, mini paper

clips and coloured string to bring your menus to life.

EVENTS STYLIST If you’d like to go that extra mile with the design and styling on your wedding day

and would like a creative eye and an extra pair of hands, we have in-house events stylists

that will work closely with you in the run up to your wedding, creating moodboards

and ordering props, and they will take care of everything the day.

EQUIPMENT We will work with you and our carefully selected suppliers to perfect and create a

beautiful table setting and style. We can supply the tables and chairs for your wedding,

whether rustic, long and antique, round with fresh linen or zinc topped trestles.

ACCREDITED SUPPLIERSWe have a fabulour range of florists, photographers and entertainers on our accredited

supplier list, so please do ask our Event Manager to provide this for you once you have

confirmed your booking!

We also have a production company who exclusively work with us who can provide the most

amazing lighting, staging and lots more for your event.
