no one heard my spirit's weary song everyone hurried on their way

I could see in every passing face signs of burdens like I bear

I've lost track of all the miles and years that have brought me to this day

now my future's shrouded in my tears all of my strength has slipped away

strange to think that when I cried out loud someone heard me long before

lifted up one person from that crowd ready to open mercy's door

all the glory more than earth can hold rise unto the Lord faithful in our need

but our hearts desire a human touch bringing the answer when we pray

God Almighty condescends to use something as humble as your soul

share these burdens walk in weary shoes speaking the words to make me whole
