7. Costs of Studies and LivingGoethe University has no tuition fees!

Studies: Goethe Uni charges an administrative fee per SEMESTER of about 360€ (~720€ per YEAR) only. This includes a ticket for public transport and a rental bike service. This “magic ticket“ (GoetheCard) enables you to use bus, tram & subway in Frankfurt and vicinity for free. Furthermore, you can travel by train to various cities in Hesse, e.g. Marburg, Gießen. Admission charges to museums, theaters and other free time activities are subsidised or even free.

The Studentenwerk offers 19 halls of residence with over 1,700 different accommodation units starting from 120€ rent per month for a single room to up to 450€ for a family apartment of 45m². www.studentenwerkfrankfurt.de
