Three nights of entertainment and glamour

Guests are entertained with energy, music and

glamour in our three themed nights bringing

the history and culture of Zanzibar to life.

This is Africa and one evening we bring you

traditional Ngoma dance and cuisine; part of

our Resort is designed in the Moorish style

introduced by the Arab settlers, it provides an

atmospheric stage for a night of belly dancing,

Arabian food and shisha. Every Tuesday

guests are invited to Dream of Zanzibar’s

glamorous Gala night. Immerse yourself in the

Watersport

The sea in front of Dream of Zanzibar is an

inviting clear blue, with a soft sandy bottom. It

is a beautiful swimming beach for all the family,

meanwhile there’s plenty of sport to be had

on and under the water; kayaking, snorkeling,

diving, sailing and kite surfing.

Snorkeling and Diving

Zanzibar has some fabulously colourful reefs

at the Mnemba Marine Reserve or Tumbatu,

where you can snorkel or dive to spot turtles,

clown fish, sea horses and octopus. Children

can take a Bubblemaker course, adults can

train for PADI, while the more advanced might

enjoy our night dives.

Sailing and cruising

The sea is soft and the wind is fair making

the waters off our beach a dream for sailing

and windsurfing. Take out a Pico, hobie

cat or surfboard, and if you need a lesson

professionals are always available. For

something more relaxed join our sunset cruise

on a traditional Arabic Dhow.

Excursions

It is hard to leave Dream of Zanzibar even for

a few hours, but there are plenty of excursions

to choose, from spice tours to the history

and heritage of Stone Town. There are also

delightful trips to see the local wildlife; giant

tortoises, dolphins and Red Colobus Monkeys.

Simba Kids Club

Jambo! Our pro carers will give your little

ones a warm welcome and will keep them

energised, entertained and educated with

sports, craft and games. They will build

fabulous sand castles, learn to tie a kanga,

try out beach Olympics and speak the Lion

King lingo, Swahili. The group will have lunch

together and then flop down for some movie

time.

Spa&Fitness

The Spa at Dream of Zanzibar is the place

to really enjoy some holiday indulgence

on your own or with your soul mate in our

couples’ treatment room. Rest and revive in

the mosaic steam room, then choose your

dream treatment from an extensive menu that

includes therapeutic wraps, scrubs, facials

and a range of massage. Many therapies use

local ingredients such as mongongo nuts,

cinnamon, coffee or African ginger. The spa

area includes a beauty salon, fitness facilities

with views over the beach and the ocean, and

a plunge pool for post treatment relaxation.

Three rooms make up the Arabesque

Conference Centre, each has plenty of

daylight and all the presentation facilities you

may require. It is set apart around a courtyard,

in a quieter part of the Resort, giving you

privacy for your event. We can host up to 140

delegates in the main venue, there are two

board rooms seating 14, and a reception area.

We offer four different conference packages

and will tailor any event to your needs.

Evening events can be arranged in a beach

marquee, around the pool, or we can discuss

an exclusive reservation in one of our nine

restaurants or bars.

Brides to be, honeymooners and anniversaries,

we offer the setting for a tropical celebration

to remember forever. Prepare to be your most

beautiful spending time in our Dream Spa

enjoying wraps, scrubs and treatments, and let

the beauticians polish nails and do your hair

for the grand event. We can conduct formal

ceremonies by the Indian Ocean and arrange

all the photography, white goes beautifully

against the clear blue sea. Dinner can be a

torch lit event by the beach, by the pool, or a

more intimate set up in one of the beach villas.
