Easter People
On Easter Sunday the world is born anew. Death has lost its sting because for those who believe, Christ has won the victory over sin and death. Alleluia! In the first few centuries following Christ’s death and resurrection, Easter was the entry point into the church for new Christians. Following intense preparation through the 40 days of Lent, new believers would be baptized just before dawn and welcomed into God’s family on Easter morning by sharing in the Eucharistic meal at worship. Whether we have been Christians all of our lives or for just a few hours, as Easter People, we can share in that same sense of renewal. As God promises us this gift of new life, he also en-courages us to share this gift of love with all those we meet. Make this Easter Sunday a time to invite your friends and family to join us as we cele-brate our Risen Lord. Following the celebration service, a special reception in Guild Hall, and an Easter Egg hunt for the children will be provided. May the good news of Christ’s resurrection strengthen and empower each of us so that we might indeed make disciples of all for the Glory of God. Alleluia!!
See you in Church! Pastor Mike

One of the main themes coming from our recent Leadership Conference was the heartfelt desire of many to experience loving relationships as brothers and sisters at WVC. Our ministry teams are a wonderful opportunity to do just that! If you see someone you would like to know better, or see a friend you would like to spend more time with, or you see an interest of yours that fits with the team’s mission, just come to their next team meeting! You will be very welcome!

BE ABE ABE ABE A
CIRCLE MAKERCIRCLE MAKERCIRCLE MAKERCIRCLE MAKER
According to Pastor Mark Batterson in his book, The Circle Maker,
“Drawing prayer circles around our dreams isn't just a mechanism whereby we accomplish great things for God. It's a mechanism whereby
God accomplishes great things in us.”
Do you ever sense that there's far more to prayer, and to God's vision for your life, than what you're experiencing? It's time you learned from the legend of Honi the Circle Maker---a man bold enough to draw a circle in the sand and not budge from inside it until God answered his prayers for his people. What impossibly big dream is God calling you to draw a prayer circle around? Sharing inspiring stories from his own experiences as a circle maker, Mark Batterson will help you uncover your heart's deepest desires and God-given dreams and unleash them through the kind of audacious prayer that God delights to answer. For the next several weeks, Pastor Mike will continue to draw his sermons and his sermon study class materials from this inspirational book. Please join the class and learn about the faith and commitment necessary to pray – and dream – as big as God calls us to do.

"The Bible" is an epic five-week, 10 - hour television mini-series premiering at 8:00 pm on March 3rd on the History Channel from Emmy-Award winning husband and wife team, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey. For two hours each Sunday night, millions of viewers will see the Bible come to life in a way never before seen. The final episode of the series will air on Easter Sunday and will feature the death and resurrec-tion of Jesus. To help ensure the accuracy of the miniseries, many Christian scholars served as advisors and hundreds of Christian leaders have given their endorsement. The 10-hour, five-part docudrama will span the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, presenting some of its best-known stories, including Noah's Ark, the Exodus, Daniel in the lions' den and the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Former Touched By An Angel star Roma Downey, Burnett's wife and fellow executive produc-er, heads a large international cast in the role of Mother Mary. Keith David, an Emmy winner for voice-over performances, will narrate with a musical score by Oscar-and - Grammy-winning composer Hans Zimmer. Since the entire Bible can't be covered in 10 hours, the miniseries, which was filmed in Morocco, focuses on a select group of stories and features such compelling figures as Abraham, Moses and Da-vid. Some stories had to be compressed for artistic purposes. This mini-series does not begin until March 3rd but this will give all of us a chance to tell as many people as possible about this series. Let's use this series to reach as many people as possible.
