• The DCS (Distributed Control System) is connected to the PCI Training Simulator

• The DCS sends and receives 4-20mA signals to control the level of TANK2

• A control loop is used to control the inflow to TANK2, by opening and closing VLV001

• The outflow of TANK2 can be varied by adjusting the manual outlet valve

• Proportional, Integral and Derivative (PID) settings can be changed to control the PV (Process Value) of the level at the SV (Set Value)

• A disturbance to the control can be created by adjusting the outlet valve

Prerequisite knowledge: Delegates should have basic knowledge regarding process measurement and control

Who should attend: Centum VP Operators, Plant Operation Specialists, Artisans, Technicians and Engineers

Centum VP Engineering (5 Days)

After this course delegates are able to perform Centum VP regulatory control functions, sequence control functions,information command station display and graphic functions using the workstation

Prerequisite knowledge: Delegates should have attended Centum VP Essentials course previously

Prosafe-RS engineering (5 days)

The objective of the course is to guide the engineers from the beginning to the end in a safety process. The engineer willhave to design, implement and test a safety system

Prerequisite knowledge: Delegates will require knowledge of computers and working knowledge of MS-Windows. It wouldalso be beneficial for delegates to have knowledge of electronics, Boolean logic and Centum VP

Who should attend: Process control engineers, process engineers, maintenance and technical support personnel

Profibus (2 Days)

delegates will learn how to use the Yokogawa Centum VP configuration tools and learn about the Profibus standard, its issuesand functionality. The course includes hands-on workshops and exercises, using Yokogawa and industry standardinstrumentation

Prerequisite knowledge: Delegates should have an understanding of DCS and instrumentation. They should havecompleted the Centum VP Engineering course

Who should attend: Instrument artisans, technicians and engineers involved in the design, installation and operationof Profibus networks

Exaquantum (5 Days)

The objective of the course is to demonstrate the post installation configuration of an Exaquantum System and to perform allnecessary steps to get the system up and running and then monitor it for performance

Prerequisite knowledge: Delegates to have a working knowledge of the Windows environment and Centum VP

Who should attend: Essential for those people responsible for the Administration of an Exaquantum System

This course covers the configuration and in depth setup procedures for foundation Fieldbus using tools provided byYokogawa and third party software. delegates will learn how to use the Yokogawa configuration tolls and learn about theFoundation Fieldbus standard, its issues and functionality. The course includes hands-on workshops and exercises usingYokogawa and industry standard



Consolidated Alarm Management System (3 Days)

This course covers the configuration management and handling of bulk alarm generation by the Centum VP System



Plant Resource Manager (5 Days)

This course covers the configuration and general setup procedures for the Plant Resource Management (PRM) system.delegates will learn how to use the PRM for efficiently managing and maintaining HART and/or Foundation Fieldbusdevices. The course includes hands-on workshops and exercises using the different device types
