Yoga Teacher Training is a large part of self-transformation that empowers you to realize your full potential. The journey begins as your revitalize the body through postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. It deepens as you learn to focus awareness, enabling you to enter meditative states that awaken compassion and clear the mind. Through the practice of Yoga, you discover how to nurture the roots of health, catalyze personal growth, live with greater skillfulness and joy, and transform your sense of what it means to be alive. Yoga Teacher training at Six Senses Spa is a comprehensive and experiential training for those interested in studying the essence of classical yoga practices, theories, and roots with an additional mentorship for those interested in teaching. We will also study astanga, hatha and integrative yoga for students with special needs such pre and post natal yoga, yoga for children and the elderly while teaching communication skills and how to address the specific needs of individuals and special populations. Open to everyone with an interest in a deeper understanding of yoga and advancing their personnel practice. This 200-hr teacher training is designed to provide knowledge and confidence for you to meet your deepest needs as a student and find your voice as a teacher. Your teacher training will enhance your teaching skills, leaving you feeling confident and comfortable instructing students. Our Yoga Alliance–approved certification program will inspire you and train you to teach safe and transformative yoga classes, as well as incorporate the wisdom and practice of yoga into your life. What you will learn: The Physical Practice Learn how to practice a strong, vinyasa-based yoga without sacrificing detail, awareness, or safety. Learn how to structure the beginning, middle and end to a class. Learn the playfulness in creating effective sequences Learn how to develop a compassionate voice by speaking clearly, honestly, and comfortably. Learn how sequencing, pace, and attention to detail effects the body and cultivates mindfulness Study an in-depth understanding of the techniques, benefits, modifications and adjustments of all major poses. Develop a practice that addresses injuries and special needs Functional Anatomy Learn an enthusiastic and basic approach to understanding the functional anatomy of the pelvis, legs and feet as they relate to the yoga practice Study the robust anatomy of the upper- back, spine, shoulders, arms and neck and their function in the yoga practice. Learn anatomy and importance of breathing in an asana and mediation practice Time Table: Sunday to Wednesday, Thursday Rest Day, Friday and Saturday/Timings to be confirmed (150 hours in class, 50 hours self-study) Investment: 760 KWD – Early bird discount 40 KWD until 31s t January 2015 Non-refundable deposit of 200 KWD to reserve your space.
