Dr. Deal is certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS), the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery (ABFCS), as well as the American Board of Surgery (ABS). With intense focus on cosmetic surgery, he has exceptional skill and artistic vision, which is illuminated in the outcomes of more than 4,000 cosmetic surgical procedures. He was selected as a finalist in the Best of the Best awards for Best Cosmetic Surgeon in 2011, 2012, 2013 and again in 2014. He was also awarded the Patient’s Choice Award and The Most Compassionate Doctor Award on Vitals.com

Dr. Chad Deal trains surgeons from around the world in courses sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS). He has presented his techniques for Brazilian Butt Lifts nu-merous times since 2011. He is known for his extensive knowledge of the body anatomy and was the cadaver lab director at the New and Established Techniques in Breast and Body Contouring: A Hands-On Cadaver Workshop in St. Louis, MO on Brazilian Butt Lifts and Breast Lifts.

Dr. Deal is on the faculty of Southern Surgical Arts’ American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery’s Fellowship Program, and trains talented surgeons from around the country every year. The sur-geons who finish the fellowship program are eligible to become certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Deal is an ABCS Board examiner and is on the Written Exam Committee. In addition, he serves on the AACS Fellowship Committee, which focuses on establishing educa-tion criteria for AACS Fellowships. He is also an active member of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc., the American Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons.

GUEST SPEAKERSDr Cuzalina practices cosmetic surgery, exclusively, since opening his surgery center in Tulsa in 1998. He is a past president of the AACS. He has served on the AACS Board of Trustees since 2005 and he also serves as President of the ABCS board. Dr Cuzalina is an author and lecturer relating to all areas of cosmetic surgery. Dr Cuzalina is board certified by the ABCS in general cosmetic surgery as well as the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also the fellowship director of an AACS approved full body and facial cosmetic surgery fellowship here at Tulsa Surgical Arts.

His practice is a mix of facial and body cosmetic surgery, although he does have a special interest in lower face and neck aesthetic surgery. He also commonly performs endoscopic breast surgery as well as endoscopic facial cosmetic surgery. Dr Cuzalina has trained intensively with several former Presidents of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and has performed well over 16,000 cosmetic surgical procedures. He is frequently faculty for cosmetic breast, body and facial rejuvenation courses worldwide. He has written several textbook chapters and journal articles on cosmetic surgery for leading publica-tions.

During high school, in McAlester, Oklahoma, Dr Cuzalina was a state champion wrestler, then at-tended Oklahoma State University on a wrestling scholarship, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Physiology. He made US National Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling teams and medaled in World Championships in 1982 and 1985. Following college, Dr Cuzalina graduated with honors and obtained both Medical and Dental degrees. He then completed a year internship in General Surgery prior to finishing a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Ala-bama in Birmingham with Dr Peter Waite. After residency, Dr Cuzalina went on to complete a full body Cosmetic Surgery fellowship in Texas with Dr Howard Tobin.

Dr. Filiberto Rodriguez specializes in cosmetic surgery and varicose vein disease with offices in Edinburg and Brownsville, Texas. He is a double board-certified cosmetic surgeon: board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, and board-certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Sur-gery. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is one of the few cosmetic surgeons in the country with advanced fellowship training in cardiothoracic, general reconstructive plastic, and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Rodriguez graduated magna cum laude from McAllen Memorial High School. He attended Princeton University and received a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Virginia School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed nine years of extensive General, Thoracic, and Cardiovascular surgical training at Stanford University, after which he ultimately chose to pursue training in plastic and cosmetic surgery at UCLA and the Body Sculpting Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Dr. Rodriguez is recognized as a leader in cosmetic surgery surgery. He has authored and/or co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at over 50 international conferences. His experience utilizing advanced materials and techniques for complex revision breast augmentation surgery has been presented at the 2014 California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Conference in Newport, CA and at the 2015 national American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Scientific Sessions. His work with advanced techniques for rapid-recovery abdominoplasty have been published in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery and were presented at the 2010 annual meeting of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the 2011 International Symposium of Minimal Invasive Plastic Surgery & Dermatology in Bangkok, Thailand, the 2011 World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery 2nd Annual Meeting in Vienna, Austria, and the 10th Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress &Medispa in Monte Carlo, Monaco 2012.

Dr. Rodriguez serves as the current president of the Texas Cosmetic Surgery Society and is also an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He was a former Trustee of the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and also as a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Filiberto Rodriguez, MD

Dr. Maningas is a native of Joplin who attended College Heights Christian School from 1998-2002. He then did his basic undergraduate studies at Missouri Southern State University prior to transferring to Oklahoma State University where he obtained his Bachelors of Science degree graduating with Presidential Honors in 2006. He went on to earn his medical degree in 2010 from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors (top 5% of the graduating medical class). During medical school, Dr. Maningas took the extra initiative to achieve his Master of Business Administration with a focus on healthcare leadership from the prestigious Rockhurst Helberg School of Management in Kansas City, MO.

He completed his post doctoral residency training in Head and Neck Surgery/Facial Plastics and Reconstruction through Oklahoma State University and Freeman Health Systems in 2015. Finally, prior to returning to Joplin, Dr. Maningas completed an additional year of advanced surgical fel-lowship training through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery with nationally renowned cosmetic and facial plastic surgeons Drs. Chad Deal and Carey Nease at Southern Surgical Arts in Chattanooga, TN where he participated in over 1,200 cosmetic surgical procedures. Dr. Maningas is certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Maningas has been married to his wife Aimee for 12 years. The two met in high school and currently have three children - Isabella, Juliette, and Nixon. As a family, they enjoy any outdoor activity together, especially going to the lake where the kids are avid wake-boarders. Dr. Maningas personally enjoys cross fit training when time allows.

GUEST SPEAKERSPatrick Bitter, Jr., M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in non-surgical treatments to improve skin health and delay aging and anti-aging medicine. He is the founder of Advanced Aesthetic Dermatology and maintains medical practices in Los Gatos, CA and Beverly Hills, CA. He graduated from the University of California with highest honors in Biology. He received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency at Stanford University School of Medicine in 1986.

Dr. Bitter is regarded as the pioneer in the use of pulsed light technology for skin rejuvenation. He is the developer of the acclaimed FotoFacial® procedure using pulsed light to rejuvenate aged skin. He has authored several groundbreaking scientific papers on the use of pulsed light for skin rejuvenation. He is a sought after lecturer and teacher and has taught over four thousand physicians worldwide in the use of pulsed light.

San Jose Sharks Team Dermatologist Dr. Bitter has been featured as a celebrity dermatologist on ABC’s Extreme Makeover. He is a member of several professional societies including Fellowship in the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Bitter has been a consultant to the medical laser device industry and to nutritional and anti-aging companies.

Dr. Bitter is proud to be the dermatologist for the San Jose Sharks National Hockey League Team. He is also a former USA Triathlon National Champion and two-time Hawaiin Ironman Triathlon finisher.

Dr. Kolegraff has an extensive background in medicine and surgery. He was born in San Jose, California, where he remained until graduation from High School where he was the Valedictorian. He attended the United states Air Force Academy, University of California, Santa Barbara where he earned a BA degree in Zoology and a BS degree in Chemistry. He attended medical school at the University of California at Irvine and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and received the Dean’s award Internship and residency in General surgery at the University of Iowa.

Ronald Kolegraff, MD

Dr. Gregory Laurence is the Founder and Medical Director of Germantown Aesthetics. Having received his M.D. degree from the University of Texas at Houston Medical School in 1992, Dr. Laurence fulfilled his residency at Saint Francis Family Practice at the University of Tennessee and completed a fellowship in Advanced Women’s Health, also at the University of Tennessee. Since 1995, Dr. Laurence has served as a diplomat of the American Academy of Family Practice and the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. In 2010, he received certification from the American Board of Laser Surgery.

Because of his commitment to his field and patients, Dr. Laurence has expanded the traditional use of technology and pioneered several innovative cosmetic and aesthetic techniques. Dr. Tom graduated from the University of Michigan and then attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his General and Vascular Surgical Residency at William Beaumont Hospital and his Organ Transplant Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Dr. Walter Tom has been the pioneer of emerging technology in the North Bay for over two decades. He co-founded the Kidney Transplant program at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital as Chief Surgeon in 1986. Then in the early nineties, he helped established laparoscopic minimally invasive abdominal surgery as a mainstay in Sonoma County. In 1999, Dr. Tom created the Aesthetic Laser & Vein Center of the North Bay. In January 2000, Dr. Tom introduced Photofacial intense pulsed light therapy to Sonoma County for treatment of facial aesthetic concerns. And in 2003, he performed the first non-surgical endovenous laser vein ablation in the North Bay California. Later, in December 2004, he opened The Aesthetic Laser & Vein Center of Napa. Dr. Tom in 2007 was the first surgeon to introduce laser liposuction to Northern California. Now, Dr. Walter Tom is past Medical Director of LaEvita LipoForm, specializing in laser liposuction. He trains physicians throughout the country on Laser Liposuction techniques.

Dr. Gerry Stanley attended his residency in rural family medicine and surgery at the renowned North Colorado Medical Center where he served as the Chief Resident in his final year. After completing his initial training, Dr. Stanley served in the National Health Service Corp for 4 years doing charitable work in low-income and critically underserved areas of the Midwest. Following his service, he spent an additional year training on minimally invasive and contemporary cosmetic surgical procedures. In addition to being certified in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Stanley also became certified in bariatric or obesity/weight loss medicine.
