Dear Sir/Madam,

National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is an autonomous organization under Ministryof Power and is conducting MBA course in Power Management, B.Tech in PowerEngineering, Post Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering and a numberof other Training Programs.

NPTI invites sponsors for scholarships for the above courses from Central/State PublicSector Undertakings, Private Companies, Societies/Trusts, Alumni of NPTI andindividuals as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility and for a noble and socialcause. The scholarships shall be given to the needy students based on means andalso to meritorious students.

We have nine Institutes a" over the country and we are conducting 2-year full time MBAcourse in Power Management approved by AICTE at our Faridabad Institute and alsoconducting 4-year B.E. course in Power Engineering approved by AICTE at three of ourInstitutes namely, Badarpur, Durgapur and Nagpur.

The students of these courses are being selected by the Universities as per theirprescribed procedures.

In order to provide financial support to the students who are short of finances and alsobased on merit, we request you to sponsor a few Scholarships for the deservingstudents as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility. Your support in this regard wi"help needy and deserving students for a noble cause.

We hereby propose you to consider the scholarships under the various options as givenin Annexure-I.

The criteria given in Annexure-I are just suggestive and may be modified as per yourrequirement.

Regarding identification of students a committee of NPTI shall identify the deservingcandidates. You can also depute your representative to be a part of the Committee.

In case you have any other scheme which you can consider for providing financialsupport to the students, then the same can also be considered.

We feel that the Scholarship can be instituted in the Name of your esteemedOrganization and this financial support would go a long way in helping the needy andmeritorious students. A few Corporates have already instituted such scholarships forhelping the needy in the Society and as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.The scholarships sponsored by you shall be mentioned in our Admission Brochurealongwith the name of the Sponsoring Organization.

5.0 In order to provide financial support to the students who are short of finances andalso based on merit, we request you to sponsor a few Scholarships for thedeserving students as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility. Your support inthis regard will help needy and deserving students for a noble cause.

8.0 Scholarships can be instituted in the Name of the Sponsors and this financialsupport would go a long way in helping the needy and meritorious students. Afew Corporates have already instituted such scholarships for helping the needy inthe Society as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility. The scholarshipssponsored by Sponsors would also be mentioned in our Admission Brochurealongwith the name of the Sponsoring Organisation.

9.0 In respect of the courses indicated in the Annexure, the Scholarships shall bebroadly divided into following categories:

(i For Girls based on means (Annual Income of parents)(ii For Boys based on means (Annual Income of parentS)(iii For Girls based on merit List at the time of admission(iv For Boys based on merit List at the time of admission

Sponsors shall have the option to either sponsor tuition fees or lodging andboarding expenses or both. However, the Sponsorship has to be for the totalduration of the course. Sponsors shall have the option to sponsor for any numberof candidates for any category.

10.0 Sponsors shall also have the option of contributing one-time lump sum paymentof an amount of their choice which shall be used to create a scholarship fund andshall be used for providing scholarships as per this scheme. In such case, thepayment should be sent by Cheque/Demand Draft payable in the name of the"National Power Training Institute" payable at Faridabad.

Consultancy Services: NPTI provides consultancy services in Preparation of DPRs under R-APDRP(11th Plan).NPTI has also been appointed as REC Quality Monitor (RQM) for Tier-II Inspection of RGGVYWorks under t t" Plan for Six States. NPTI has also been awarded the Third Party Inspecting Agency(TPIA) works by few DISCOMs for the RGGVY works under the io" Plan & 11th Plan.

Awards and Recognitions_NPTI has been conferred the award for "Excellence in Training" for theyear 2010-11 by the World HRD Congress, under the category Employer Branding Award.

NPTI has been conferred the award for "Best Learning and Development Strategy" for the year 2010-11 by the World HRD Congress, under the category shine.com HR Leadership Award.
