1. When did you join YCIS? 你加入耀中这个大家庭已经有多久时间了？

我在 2007 年 1 月 17 日加入青岛耀中国际学校。至今，已将近 6 年半的时

间。

It has been six and half years since I joined YCIS on 17th January 2007.

2. How have you developed long side your work over these years? 在这些年你的工作

当中有什么收获？

从工作基层做起，以耀中的教育理念和校训为基准，我不断完善本职工作

内容。在过去工作的几年中，耀中将我从工作新手培养成能胜任本职工作的员

工。因为，在我的身边有很多友爱的同事在工作中给予了我很多帮助和鼓励，

使我能在工作中能不断地进步。在这种多元文化的工作氛围内，我也学到了如

何与不同文化背景的同事建立良好信任的工作关系；作为学校前沿窗口的岗位

- 学校办公室，我永远将家长的需求作为首要事情来对待，及时为他们解答疑

问或传递他们的需求；对待学生，如果他们有需要，我会随时为他们提供我的

帮助。

I started as a junior member of staff, based on the value of Yew Chung philosophy

and motto, from which myself constantly benefit and has improved significantly in

terms of working attitude and standard. Thanks to the years I’m working for YCIS, in

such a caring family, with love and encourage from those amazing colleagues, I have

become who I am today. Especially I learned how to communicate and work closely

with people from different backgrounds in a multi-culture environment. With School

Office being the window of YCIS QD, our priority is to respond to families’ requests

with extra care and love. I am horned to help every single family.

3. What are the best aspects of your work at YCIS Qingdao? 你认为你在青岛耀中国际

学校的工作中哪些方面较为优秀？

我愿意提出自己的见解，也愿意接受他人的建议；如果你需要我，我会尽

力为你去做你所需要的；我尊重工作中的每一个人；永远怀着一颗感恩的心。

I am willing to contribute and be a good listener. If you need my assistance, I am

more than happy to help in any possible way. I respect everyone at work with a

grateful heart.

4. In the future, what will be the main memories that you will hold dear? 在将来的生活

中，哪些会是你值得珍藏的记忆？

每一张亲切而温暖的学生和同事的面孔、学校举办的每一次活动、一点点

成长起来的校园，在我的心里发生在我工作中的一点一滴都将会是我最珍贵的

记忆。

Every happy and smiley face, every activity and event held, a growing campus and all

the experiences with YCIS will be worth memorizing.

5. Please comment on the Character Education element of our programme. 你是如何评

价品格道德教育的？

全球化发展的趋势需要我们有责任培养有内在品质的世界性合格公民。耀

中的品德教育给与学生全面健康心理的培养，使他们有能力正确对事、对人、

对物有理性而直观的认识。

As globalization is taking shape rapidly, it is our responsibility to foster global citizen

with good characters. The Character Education programme at YCIS focuses on

developing positive personal qualities such as diligence, loyalty and sensitivity. It

gradually fosters students’ ability of making the judgments with justice and

understanding the world with love.

6. Please comment on the bi-lingual element of our school environment and if this has

made an impact on you personally. 你是如何看待学校的双语环境的？这对你自身

的发展是否有积极的影响？

耀中的双语教学不仅让我在工作中受益，同时也受用于我的生活。

耀中的教育理念、目标及为此付诸的行动，开阔了我的视野。让我真正

体会到合作教学与中西方文化是如何完美的交融在一起，使耀中的学生能熟练

掌握和使用世界最大的两种语言：英语和中文；让学生能接受、尊重和欣赏不

同的文化。

耳濡目染，我在无形中也学到了中、西文化融为一体的教育理念，并将这

种重要的理念恰当地运用于我女儿的教育中。我相信，她也会在这种全新的教

育理念中受益。

最后，我感谢我亲爱的工作伙伴、感谢我热爱的工作岗位-青岛耀中国际

The bi-lingual environment at YCIS does not only benefit myself at work, also, it has

brought positive impacts to my life.

The philosophy at YCIS and the implementation carried out has broadened my

horizon. It makes me realize the true value of co-teaching and appreciation of

combing the east and the west. With the established language programme, students’

bi-lingual skills and the appreciation of different cultures will bring the best out of

them.

Being seen, heard and immersed in the bi-lingual environment, I gradually applied

this to my daughter’s education in an appropriate way. I believe, it will be of great

benefit that she carries through her life.

Last but not least, I’d like to take this opportunity and express my sincere thanks to

all my colleagues, to YCIS QD for making myself towards a more confident and

professional caring individual. Thank you all!
