Sura Aale Imran

By no means shall you attain to righteousness until you spend (benevolently) out of what you love; and whatever thing you spend, Allah surely knows it. (3:92)

What you cherish could be your wealth, health, children, pride. The true righteous person would be able to give-away what they cherish the most. E.g. was set by Imam Husain (a.s.) in Kerbala. (Zakat and Khums are not mentioned here, since the verse does not refer to the minimum amounts prescribed, rather the optional that which you love.

One who practices piety in this world will get ParadiseSALAATUL LAYLOne of the ibadat highly recommended by Allah to gain closeness to him is through Salaatul layl

Sura Muzzammil Surely the rising by night is the firmest way to tread and the best corrective of speech. (73:6)

Allah says; Wealth and children are an ornament of the life of this world (18:46), but the eight rakaats recited by a servant at the end of the night are an ornament of the Hereafter.Imam as-Sadiq (a)

Almighty Allah has not specified its reward due to its greatness with Him.

Allah says (about the reward of those who recite Salatul Layl): So no soul knows what is hidden for them of that which will refresh the eyes; a reward for what they did.(32:17) Holy Prophet (s)

Special Women (mentioned in the Quran)Anyone can achieve the status of Taqwa. One of the great ladies who drew herself close to Allah was Hannah, who is mentioned in the Quran

Sura Aale Imran

3:35 "How the wife of Imrn said, O my Lord, I have vowed to thee what is in my womb. Now accept [this vow] from me, thou art the hearing, the knowing

And when she had given birth to the child, she said, O my lord, I have given birth to a female child... and I have called her Maryam

Prophet YusufThe higher one climbs the ladder of taqwa, the more he gets tested. Prophet Yusuf was an example to this.

Sura Yusuf

12:90 " They said: 'Are you indeed Yusuf ' He said: '(Yes), I am Yusuf and this is my brother. Allah has been indeed gracious to us. Verily whoever keeps from evil and is patient (is always rewarded) for verily Allah does not waste the reward of the righteous'.

Tolerance is an important instrument of administration. One must learn from Yusuf's humanity and generosity for he not only overlooked his own right but he also went out of his way to secure Allah's pardon for his brothers Jesus (Prophet Isa) in the QuranProphet Isa too was tested till he reached the highest level of spirituality, when he was taken to the heavens By Allah.

Sura Nisa

4:157and their boast, "Behold, we have slain the Christ Jesus, son of Mary, [who claimed to be] an apostle of God!" However, they did not slay him, and neither did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them [as if it had been] so; and, verily, those who hold conflicting views thereon are indeed confused, having no [real] knowledge thereof, and following mere conjecture. For, of a certainty, they did not slay him.BarzakhSo we ask why should we have taqwa? One good reason is it will be our sense of comfort when we are in our grave. The period of Barzakh is a lonely period.

Sura Al Mominun

When death comes to one of them he says, My Lord send me back. I will then work righteousness in everything I left. Not true. This is a false claim that he makes. A barzakh will separate his soul from this world until resurrection (23 99:100)Quran and Environmental EthicsAnd finally when being lowered into the grave, the earth will ask how did you treat me so that I can reciprocate now to you? Were you observant of Allahs laws or did you cause mischief?

Surah Ar Rum

30:41Mischief has appeared in the land and sea because of what men have done with their own hands that Allah may give them a taste of some of their deeds, in order that they may turn back
