Task 2: Flower dissection!

1) Use your hands and scissors to carefully

dissect (take apart) your flower.

2) Separate the parts of the flower into

different piles.

3) Match each part to the correct

keyword (hint- not all flowers will have

all parts!).

Task 1: The parts of a flower

If possible collect a flower from your garden and draw it in the box below. If you do not have

a garden you could find a picture on the internet. Use a pencil for all of your drawings.

Label your drawing using as many keywords as you can.

Keywords: stem, flower, leaf, petal, anther, filament, ovule, stigma, style, ovary, ovule, sepal

Bees are in decline. Read the following article and use other research to form

an argument to explain why bees need our help. You can present your work

anyway you wish to put forward the case for saving bees. You could start with
