• Either use the printable on the next page, create your own using a ruler or use an app on a device to create your comic book strip.

• Plan out how you will tell each part of the story in each ‘frame’

• Remember to include onomatopoeia and have a clear plot with occasional boxes explaining changes in location.

• Your comic strip can be as detailed or long as you choose use the WAGOLL to help you.

What is a POW-WOW?Every week, I will set you a POW-WOW task. This stands for Power of Words, Wonder of Words. It’s basically a piece of writing where you have creative control – you can write whatever genre you like with whatever features you like. But you should be including the Year 6 spelling and punctuation requirements!

Today you could write:• You could choose to carry on your comic strip from yesterday. • You could write a traditional story about a superhero. Maybe your superhero is a

bit different or you just prefer to write than draw. • You could choose to write a poem about your superhero or maybe a ‘theme

song’. • You could write a ‘to-do’ list for your super-villain – this should tell the reader all

about their character.
