Here you will find a plan for your home learning. To help you support your child’s learning, we have set enough tasks to be completed one a day by your child. This is Samuel Pepys. He was an eye witness for The Great Fire of London. We know about what happened in London because of all the details he wrote in his diary. Can you write a quote from him in your newspaper article?

In year 2 we are developing our editing skills to improve our standard of writing. To edit your work use a different colour pencil to add detail, correct incorrect

spellings, add missing punctuation to your Samuel Pepys diary writing. Always read it back and ask yourself ‘does it makes sense?’ ‘Can I reach for the stars and make it even better in any way?’
