(For example, when running a race or standing in line. Draw 10 Squares on a piece of paper. Label the squares using ordinal numbers. Encourage the kids to listen to the sounds at the end of the word to make sure they have the correct sound. 1st. 2nd 3rd etc. On a piece of paper draw 10 circles. Colour the 1st circle orange Colour the 5th circle purple Colour the 10th circle green Repeat this activity using different shapes, colours and positions.

After you have drawn all the toys in order. Write down in the ordinal numbers under each toy. Ask someone in your household to show you where a certain toy in in line. For example, what position is the teddy bear? What position is the unicorn? What position is the car? Write two sentences about two toys and their position and ordinal number.
