Making a complaint about bus servicesIf you have a complaint about a bus servicethen contact the operator direct, or if thecomplaint is about a council subsidisedservice you should also contact the council.

The Bus Appeals Body, the industry’s non-statutory body, canalso deal with complaints about operational issues, such aspoor reliability, the bus not turning up at all, drivers or otherstaff being rude, etc.

It cannot deal with commercial issues, like fares and servicelevels, ticketing and timetabling, or routings, nor can it help ifthe issue has involved the Police or other legal authority. You must always have written to the company first to givethem a chance to sort out the issue.
