Delivering the Produce to Residents’ doors was the
best part of the Fall 2015 Program
"I just had such a beautiful experience I had to share it with somebody. I got the name of your school off this letter. I had just woken up from a nap when my doorbell was ringing so I was a little grumpy and I went to the door and saw all these young people with another gentlemen handing out food. And I'm thinking to myself, "Oh, that's nice, they went to the store." And I said, "Thank you," and they left. I didn't even hear his presentation. And as I was putting the food up, I noticed it was fresh! Like grown out of the ground! So I opened the door and I called the young man back, and I said, "I'm just curious, did you grow this?"And he said, "Yes."I said, "At your home?"And he said, "No, at our school."I just think that's the most awesome thing. Those are truly God's children. And I don't know who started this program, I don't know anything about this program, but thank you. And thank those angels for me again, please. Good bye." Quotations From the Garden
It’s meaningful to me when we go up to the residents, hand them a bag of vegetables and make them happy.6th grade I love how we see the whole
thing, from planting, harvesting and then we get to deliver them to the people and they are so happy.4th grade
Doing the deliveries is the best….well, I like the gardening too….I just love everything about what we do. We get to make a difference in other people’s lives.5th grade
