In Memoriam Bert Edwards was a farmer who loved
what he did - a quiet man, until you stopped to have a chat. Then you would find he had plenty to say but always with
warmth and good humour. Our show survives on the generosity and energy of our many volunteers. Over the
last 50 years or so it would be hard to find anyone that has given the show as
much as Bert and if you know what others have given the show you will know
this is a big statement. The sheep/wool sections, committee
work and the grounds all received a lot of his attention but not only these as the
Yankalilla Show, as a whole, was an important part of Bert’s life and we
acknowledge his wonderful contribution.
