Y5 Learning pack – Week 5 (11/05/20) Summer term Hello Year 5s! We all really hope you’re safe and well and we miss you very much. This is the next installment in the Year 5 learning packs for you to work on at home. All of these have been designed for you to be able to have a go at them on your own, but if you have an adult or sibling that can work with you, make sure you talk through your answers and explain why you think what you do. There are some Reading, Writing and Maths tasks for you as well as a P.E. and a creative task (we know what fantastic artists you are). We have designed these to keep your mind active during these strange times. There are lots of ideas for useful websites and challenges on the school website and twitter. Try to keep in touch with each other and keep checking in on each other. Remember that this is a strange time for everyone, grown-ups too, so try to be kind and think about how they are feeling too (especially if they’re asking you to do school work, they just want you to be able to do your best!) We’d love to see the work that you complete! Ask your grown-ups to share it with us on twitter (@Y5Carfield). We really hope to see you soon. Keep us posted with what you’ve been up to. Stay safe and happy. Love from Mrs White, Mr Crabtree and Miss Andrew

Maths Tasks

There are five different Maths tasks for this week. They are all from White Rose Maths (we

use this in school quite a lot).

https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/

There is a video to watch for some of the tasks, but you can just have a go at each task

without the video if you can’t watch the video. Take your time and check each answer

before you move onto the next. If you can’t (or don’t want) to print out the sheets for each

day, just write the answers on a sheet of paper. Remember to label each question! There

are also answers on the White Rose website so you can check how you’re getting on if

you’d like to.
