Th e General Services Department, City of Houston, invites the submittal of statements of qualifi cations for Asbestos/Lead Abatement, Mold Remediation, Soil Remediation and PST Removal Contract Services for:

Th e purpose of these Statements of Qualifi cations is to establish a pre-qualifi ed list of As-bestos/Lead Abatement, Mold Remediation, Soil Remediation and PST Removal Contractors. Th e contractors that are pre-qualifi ed by a review committee will be given the opportunity to participate in projects of these types for the City of Houston.

Interested contractors shall submit qualifi cations, which must include copies of all licens-es and material to substantiate a business history of at least two years, in duplicate, to the General Services Department, Attn: Gabriel Mussio, Division Manager, 900 Bagby, 2nd fl oor, Houston, Texas 77002.

Submittals must be in sealed envelopes and received no later than 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2014. Late submittals will not be accepted. Specifi c contract information should be provided regarding experience and expertise of the contract fi rm and its individual mem-bers. The project generally consists of the replacement of BUS weatherhead for main service entrance, the rehabilitation of existing MCC, reconfiguration of HPT sensors and gauges, and the installation of a new 650 KW diesel generator with removal of existing right angle drive. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the office of the Engineer for the Zone, EHRA, 10555 Westoffice Drive, Houston, Texas.

Project scope shall include the installation of approximately 30,000 SF of sidewalk; 15,000 SF of 6” reinforced concrete driveways; 6,500 LF of 6” reinforced concrete curb; 48 wheel chair ramps and crosswalk stripping. The project site is located on Harris County Key Map No. 493-R.


Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Cashier’s Check, from a responsible bank in the State of Texas, or a Bid Bond, issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in the State of Texas, equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Make the Cashier’s Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to the Owner.
