Final Scientific Program 1
It gives us great pleasure to welcome you and present before you thescientific program for the
to be held at Hotel LeelaKempinski, Gurgaon, Delhi NCR from September 30-October 2, 2011 withpre-conference CME on September 29, 2011. The theme of the congressis .
As you scan the program, you will notice that the stress has been to includelectures, symposia and workshops which will be of practical significancefor all level of echocardiographers, family physicians, post graduates andyoung cardiologists. A wide range of subjects like heart failure, valvulardiseases, cardio-diabetes, pulmonary hypertension, acute coronarysyndrome, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, prosthetic valve etchave been included. Each symposia covers both clinical cardiology andechocardiography. The orations will be very academically stimulating andwill be delivered by stalwarts in the field of echo.
The nucleus of the conference is multiple case study sessions which againinclude both clinical cardiology and echocardiography. This will be afeature of every day meeting and covers wide range of topics. This isbesides the three live workshops on 3-D TEE, Contrast echo and 3-Dtransthoracic echo. A healthy sign has been an overwhelming responsefrom our young postgraduates. A large number of high quality cases weresent for Natesa G Pandian case study competition. As all of them could notbe accommodated, hence a special case study session 'by and for ouryoung cardiologists' was instituted, where our young participants willpresent cases. The special prize winning echo quiz by Dr. Manjuran isexpected to be a big draw. We are confident that the pre- conference CMEwill be a great success where every participant will become fullyconversant with the five topics to be discussed.
We are fortunate to have an outstanding international and national faculty. We are sure you will enjoy the flashes of expertise during their discourseand benefit with a good interaction with them.
Learning with fun, and without stress, is a great experience. You will havean experience of lifetime with the session on echo jeopardy (Kaun BanegaEcho Krorepati ) in which there will be a healthy, but fierce, Indo – USAcompetition. The moderators of this session are masters in this field. Assuch we feel that this congress will be a “temple of learning”. The socialevenings will help you to relax and unwind from the busy academicschedule.
We once again welcome you to this academic and social feast.
