X-SEARCH. HOW DOES IT WORK?

Name / Address / Signature (NAS) DatabaseNAS Databases allow storing relevant text strings and performing queries based on potentially inaccurate information. These errors may come from misspellings, phonetic similarities, transliteration di�erences, omitting some parts of names, use of abbreviations, etc.

Regular Expressions Database, based on which the system can identify elements of interest in texts / streams.Regular expressions are used to extract interesting parts from texts. They can be certain formulations, places, personal names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, etc. In general, these names identified in the text are called "entities". Therefore, their identification in the text is called “Named Entity Recognition” (NER).

FUNCTIONS

All features in the administrative interface apply regardless of databases stored:

• API Interface: Simple REST interface for all operational needs.• Network connectivity: lets you define specific parameters for network connection such as IP address, API port, subnet mask, gateway server, the DNS server.• Import / export settings: allows you to save and restore system settings.• Import / Export database: allows you to create database backups in the system; export functionality is based on achieving a "snapshot" of the database, which is first stored in a special area in the appliance. Any snapshot can be downloaded after it has been created.• Appliance Control: Allows you to restart the application, the server or to shut it down• Information: You can access information regarding the equipment being used and the status of running applications. This information may be particularly useful to identify potential problems and to correct them.• Database Management: allows creating and deleting databases and perform operations on them.

All databases in the system, regardless of their type, support a number of common operations such as:

• Create: name and associated are specified• Delete: removes all associated files from the disk• Reload: allows updating data from the memory, using the files stored on disk • Turn on "debug": information is generated regarding activities on the database, including data accessing time• Display Information: You can access information about the number of entries and space on the disk and in the memory• Input: Manual add values in each database• Query: Perform the desired query.

X-Search works as a highly scalable and extremely fast add-on to any existing running system. Integration is easy and executed by o�ering a full API for all features of the system. It does not require any additional licenses and does not rely on third-party solutions / algorithms, and also does not require any internet connection.

FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT

The globalization process has brought to surface more dangerous aspects too: globalization of criminal activities, organizations, activists. As there are no global unique identifiers for these people and organizations, exchanging information about them is often di�cult and exposed to frequent mistakes. Finding “the needle in the haystack” is a pretty challenging task, especially when the “needle” disguises itself by making small alterations to his name (word order, abbreviations, phonetic errors, spelling conventions, etc). Advanced technological solutions are required in order to facilitate the search process in this new context. Existing features provided by major database providers are implementing Sound Like algorithms for English language only, and does not cover any typing mistakes.
