Columns containing ACORD codes, i.e. what you should use for your exposure data sheet are highlighted in blue. Further ACORD information like definitions etc. uses a header in light blue. No highlighting means that either third parties own the code lists or there is no standard yet.

Some of the codes are hierarchical. The most important ones are highlighted in yellow. E.g. EQXX means that all listed subperils related to earthquake are covered.

The codes presented here are as well used for detailed data. This means for aggregated data only the top level codes are typically required. Have a look at the examples https://www.cresta.org/index.php/reporting-template

Earthquake leads to dam failure which triggers a flood

Strong winds above 72 Knots [> 74mph , > 119 kph] .

An earthquake is the rapid displacement of rock on either side of a fracture, or fault, in the interior of solid earth. Also known as a tremor, temblor or seismic activity.

Ground shaking [aka Shake] is the result of an earthquake. Ground shake can vary because of the magnitude of the event, distance from the epicenter and geological features.

Fire resulting from an earthquake damage. Fire after an earthquake can be caused by damage to gas and electric utilities causing a fire to ignite. Once a fire has started, earthquake damage to water infrastructure can make it difficult to prevent fire from spreading.Ground shaking triggered due to mining activities or collapsing mines

A Tsunami is a wave caused by the sudden displacement of water associated with an Off Shore Earthquake. Tsunamis can form if the earthquake causes submarine landslides or sea floor movement.

Soil and/or debris moving down a slope that is destabilized by an earthquake.

Wet Pipe sprinkler system damaged by an earthquake which leads to water leakage

A powerful storm system with sustained wind speeds > 72 Knots [> 74mph , > 119 kph] and heavy rains. Tropical Cyclones are formed in warmer equatorial waters. Tropical Cyclones are also called - Hurricanes in North Atlantic/NorthEast Pacific, Typhoons in Northwest Pacific Ocean and Cyclonic Strom in the Indian Ocean.

Downward motion of earth in an area often resulting from drought, lowered groundwater level or oil/gas extraction.

Soil and/or debris moving down a slope that is destabilized when an earthquake is not present. A depression caused by the collapse of an underground structure like a limestone cavern. Soil moving from a solid to liquid after being saturated with water .

Using conventional weapons and tactics such as Car/Truck bombs, small arms, intentional plane crash.Intentionally releasing a biological agent such as bacteria or viruses.Intentionally releasing chemical agents such as Sarin or VX gases.

Strike is the withdrawal or cessation of labor by employees (check local legislation for country specific variations)

Riot is defined in most state laws (US) as a violent disturbance of two or more persons (UK 12 persons, other countries may differ).

Civil commotion is a more serious and prolonged disturbance or violent uprising. The element of turbulence or tumult is essential. Civil commotion is the intermediate state between a riot and a civil war (check local legislation for country specific variations).

Malicious damage is the intentional vandalism, damage or destruction of property by a small group or an individual.
