Repeatable courses only display the latest term course in the course grids in the on-line advisement report

When courses are repeated for credit in the on-line advisement report, only the last time the course is taken is displayed no matter how many times the course has been used in the requirement. This is only a problem with the on-line report and not the pdf report. There are several scenarios where courses are not displayed correctly in the on-line advisement report when courses are repeated. 1. When the same course ID is taken several times for credit and can be used to satisfy a requirement multiple times, only the latest term course is displayed in the grid. 2. When a course is taken multiple times, and the earlier terms of the course are used to satisfy the requirement, and the most recent course enrollment could be used in the requirement but was not because either limits are exceeded or the requirement minimums have been met, the course will not appear in the grid.

All the courses units accumulate into statistics as if all the courses that are used to satisfy the requirement were displayed.

After bundle 9, the advisement transcript is not displaying all of the details of a requirement line unit change exception

A student exception for a requirement line was entered to change the unit value, and the exception details no longer display on the academic advising transcript after CS Bundle 9 has been applied. The change is applied (i.e., the minimum units required displays correctly), but no details about the requirement change display. Prior to Bundle 9, the details displayed on the advisement transcript.

Degree Progress Course List What-If Button bug- loop when clicking OK rather than search

Enter Student Self Service and choose Degree Progress. When enter View Degree Progress choose the "Course List What-If" option. Select a subject from the Drop-down list. Select "OK" instead of search. You will get an error message; click "OK'. After waiting a while, click the "Course List What-If" option again and you will see you are in a loop.

Financial Aid Disbursements are not updating the AID_YEAR in Student Financials

If the SF Business Unit Disbursement Date Item is not checked, the AID_YR is not getting populated in Student Financials through the Financial Aid batch disbursement or on line disbursements.

Update Pell Payment for COD to accommodate two Pell grants in the same award year.

HEOA provides for students to receive two Pell Grants within a single year. Pell Payment for COD process needs to be updated to indicate when a student is being awarded a second Pell award in the same award year.

When running SAP in Report Only mode some students SAP Status is getting updated

When users process SAP in batch, running the report only option, some students are being updated. These are students who fall into a default status rather than failing any particular test. This is after installing bundle 16.

SAP process erroring on students with more than 999 units.

Enroll a student in excess of 999 units. Ensure that the final grading period has elapsed and the calculate SAP to get the SQL error. Essentially the size of the field value should be increased to allow for the excessive units. Though the number of students in the situation should be small the chances of it happening may occur, the process will error and no students are processed.

Maintain Student SAP Data page does not allow for a Term Exception Two Year GPA

The 2 Year GPA test is being used to remain in compliance with federal regulations. The current Maintain Student SAP Data page does not allow for a Term Exception Two Year GPA Test.

SAP Process SFA_SAP_3C - ABENDED at SFA_SAP_3C.DRIVER.Step070 (SQL)

There is an arithmetic overflow result from the case statement. MSSQL Server platform.

Spacing is off in letters and communication detail created via Create SAP Communications.

When processing SAP 3C, the process inserts whatever comments that are setup on the SAP Setup into the 3C Trigger table. The data that is inserted leaves spaces in the comments and requires users to fix the spacing issues once letter generation is run.

Changes introduced in Bundle 12/19 were based on FSA guidelines for 2008-2009 due to lack of availability of 2009-2010 guidelines. Changes outlined in the FSA 2009-2010 handbook indicate that Untaxed Income elements already captured in the Fed Untax Income portion of the FAFSA and Fed Untax Income Verification page support the ability to perform a federal variance tolerance check. The federal variance calculation compares the total of Source AGI + Untaxed Income + US Tax Paid to the Target and displays the difference. The need to individually capture elements introduced in bundle 12/19 are no longer required.

Verification Consolidation is not including Other Untaxed Income

When entering an Other Untaxed Income figure on the Untaxed Fed Income tab in the Manage 2009-2010 Verification component. When the Consolidation process is run, the Untaxed Income value is not being populated. The impacted page is VERIF04_CONSL_SEC.

Delivered Test Score /Search Match/Post Sets Ignored Records to Purge

Customer has identified an issue with the delivered test score search/match process. When search/match criteria is defined to set new individuals to Ignore, the code currently sets these test score records to 'Purge' with no EmplID. These records should not be purged but rather not processed as part of the Posting of the test records. We would prefer to have the value set to 'Take No Action'. Additionally, the status of these test records should be reset, so each time the search/match/post processes are run, the records can be reprocessed.

Test score purge does not work properly when purging only processed scores.

After applying CS 8.9 bundle #18, there's an error when running the test score purge in a MS SQL Server database. The error indicates there is an incorrect syntax

UCAS - IVOFFER IMPORT OF UNECESSARY RECORDS

UCAS provide the offer text associated with an application choice in the ivOffer view. Currently the import process is loading every record from ivOffer even if the parent choice record does not exist. In cases like this QUB have experienced a buffer error is thrown when accessing the record in the UCAS Applications page.

In this case all the ivOffer records for 2008 applicants have been imported as well as those for 2009 as we don?t have a mechanism for filtering ivOffer based on entry year (as we do for ivStarC). IvOffer records are only ever required when the associated application choice has been imported.

The processing of ivOffer staging table records needs to be updated to check whether there is a corresponding application choice before creating the base record. If there is a choice (matched on institution, UCAS personal ID, application code and choice number) the offer record should be created/updated.

If there is no matching choice record, a message should be logged, the staging record should be set to processed and the record should be deleted from the staging table at the end of the import process.

The message should be worded like ?No application choice exists for: Institution: XXXX, Personal ID: XXXXXXXXX, Application Code: XXXX, Choice Number: X. The offer record has not been imported.

UCAS announced changes on 10-FEB-2009 related to Clearing processing and new Adjustment processing being introduced from July 2009. These changes were received too late to be incorporated into the UCAS Phase 2 delivery in bundle #12. Further updates are required to allow Clearing and Adjustment processing from July 2009 onwards.

Error on transaction export of Extra Decisions

User tried to export some decisions which had been made on Extra Applicants - the export process failed and generated an error message. They put a hold on the Extra decisions, and the rest transmitted successfully, so the issue is only with Extra.

UCAS - ivStarPQR Import Performance Issues

Running the ivStarPQR and ivUnitResults imports takes several hours running over the database link to UCAS with a typical volume of records (60,000+). The import logic needs to be refined to speed up the import. Institutions need to process the exam results quickly during confirmation processing.

The applicant import is not populating the Tuition Fee status in the Residency Data component. Tuition field should be populated on the Residency Official 1 page at application admission stage, as was the case last year, as it is necessary for fee calculation.

Updates are required to UCAS processing functionality for the 2010 admissions cycle. Phase 1 includes the import of additional applicant data. This delivery will also incorporate additional changes for Clearing and Adjustment processing for the 2009 cycle.

Import Applicant Data process SAD_UC_IMPAP fails with unique constraint error

A unique constraint error is occurring during the import of GTTR reference records from ivgReference. As GTTR applicants can have multiple (typically two) references the key structure needs to include the Referee Type.





App Engine SAD_UC_IMPAP failed on INSERT INTO PS_SAD_UC_I_IVSTJ

The Applicant Import SAD_UC_IMPAP process crashed with Oracle Error: ORA-01722: invalid number Failed SQL stmt:INSERT INTO PS_SAD_UC_I_IVSTJ. The problem is with the SAD_UC_ULN field which seems to be a number rather than a character so running the query and replacing NVL(ULN,' ') with NVL(ULN,0) does not give the error.





Confirmation entry pages selecting applications which are not CF or CI

UCAS Quick Confirmation (SAD_UC_QCONF - Bulk). No filter to select candidates by Reply this is essential. Search appears to retrieve applications which are not in a pre-Confirmation state (ie candidates who have not replied to their offer). It also allows a confirmation accept/reject to be entered on these applications.

Confirmation Entry (SAD_UC_CNFDEC - Individual). Like Quick Confirmation, search appears to retrieve applications which are not in a pre-Confirmation state (ie candidates who have not replied to their offer). Reply filter is available on this page, but it would be more advantageous on the Quick Confirmation page. The Reply filter offers the option of selecting Decline from the dropdown list applications whose current status is declined are not eligible to have a confirmation decision registered.

When combining two or more sections, the term workload table (PS_INSTR_TERM_DTL) is updated with one row of data for the newly combined section as expected. However, if both classes have a defined meeting pattern assigned at the time the sections are combined, two rows stay on INSTR_TERM_DTL. One row is updated to the combined section and the other is an orphan row for the second class in the combination. This leads to inflated workload statistics. If the sections are later deleted from the combination, the orphan row does not get deleted from INSTR_TERM_DTL.

Changing Skip Meeting Pattern on Identify Combined Sections causes Data Conflicts error in Schedule

When the Skip Meeting Pattern & Instr Edit is selected on an existing Combined Section ID where the Sections already have meeting pattern data, the process deletes all existing meeting pattern data for all sections in the combination but fails to delete the Event ID number. User receives an error message in the Maintain Schedule of Classes component when attempting to add meeting pattern data to these sections because the original Event ID is still associated with the class section.

The enrollment engine will update the enrollment status reason for a previously dropped class when dropping a different section. This will commonly occur if a student has swapped from a non-enroll section (during drop retain) and then later drops the whole class for a penalty grade. In addition, certain types of drop enroll transaction submitted during the drop with penalty period, can result in the enrollment status reason value for the classes in the enrollment request being updated to WRDW even though the request results in an error.

Faculty Center>Advisee Roster response time is unacceptable with 200+ Advisees

Customer has many advisors who are assigned 200+ active advisees. When they click on the View My Advisees link, it takes up to 1-2 minutes for the system to display the grid of advisees. After the page loads the first time, subsequent attempts return better response time (probably due to cache). Need a way to improve response time the first time into the page.

When grades for all assignments are excluded (they are initially set to included), the cumulative grade/score field (GRADE_AVG_CURRENT) on the Cumulative Grades (LAM_CLAS_GRADE_TOT) page is refreshed and is shown as Blank. However, the GRADE_AVG_CURRENT field on the STDNT_GRADE_HDR record on the database is not updated with the new value. It appears that the Gradebook only refreshes its cumulative score on page level although it should also update database to reflect the change. When the grades are included back in the calculation, the value on the page remains as blank.

When trying to create multiple locations for a external organization within the internship module (NLD) al kinds of errors occur. It is impossible to save and use multiple locations for 1 external organization. a quick look led us to conclude that the eff. date changes in record org_location are not implemented in the internship address records which leads to buffer errors.

Problem with related language record for BPV Appendix.

When user changes the long description on the SAD_BPV_NBL_NLD record (BPV Appendix) the new description is written to the language table SADBPVNBLNLDLNG and not to the record SAD_BPV_NBL_NLD. Then when user goes to add an attachment to the student's BPV contract, the new value is not showing up.

Effective dating logic in the SQL behind PS_JOB_SR_VW is not working as expected. When an instructor has 2 or more effective dated rows with one which is greater than the term begin date on the PS_JOB table in HR, and a user clicks on the prompt lookup for Empl Rcd #, a 'no matching values' message is returned. Expected result is that effective dated row that is less than term begin date will be returned.

Issues with the Generate Tree function that generates the My Academics tree in student self service

When a student is active in an academic plan of plan type Specialization, the tree under My Academics in self service does not display the description fo the Plan. And if the student is active in any other plan, then the tree structure displayed is incorrect. It appears that there is a limit of number of characters that can be accommodated or handled by the function which is causing this.

When data exists in the student's planner and curriculum changes are made, these changes are not reflected in the planner. Course Catalog data is thus out of sync with what the student sees in their Planner. This is particularly troublesome when Subject changes are made or when courses are made Inactive and those changes are not appropriately reflected in the Planner.

Successful Enrollment not displayed for Student - Reflected as Pending

When a student is in the Self Service Student Center and selects 'Finish Enrolling' on the Confirm Classes page, if a class has a requirement designation that has resulted in an error, the next class does not display as enrolled on the Shopping Cart View results page. The second class is, however, displayed on the My Class Schedule page. In the Enrollment Request Search, the classes' Enrollment Req Detail Status is 'Pending', even though the student is enrolled in the class.

Prior to CS Bundle 9, when adding a new session to the term table, the page is refreshed to the first row. Whenever any change is made to any existing session or a new session is added, once you click Save the page is refreshed to the first row. What this means is that once you save this page, you then want to go to the Session Time Periods page and enter that data as well. Prior to Bundle #9, we were able to save the Session Table page and when we went to the Session Time Periods page, the same session remained the page was not refreshed and reverted back to the first row. The same occurs once you enter the session time period information and save it reverts back to first row. It was really nice previously because when you saved your information, you could do a quick look and verify that the data you entered was correct. To do that quick verification now, you have to go through the Find option to get back to it.

When the Purge Transcript process is run to purge transcripts for a range of Request Print Date, the process errors with Process ABENDED at Step SSR_RPT_PURG.GetRptRq.Step20 (Do Select) -- RC = 936 (108,524) Stmt #: 1603 Error Position: 183 Return: 936 - ORA-00936: missing expression. If the Request Print Date From/To fields are used without the Request Date From/To fields the program aborts. However, if the Request Date From/To fields are used either on their own or with the Request Print Date From/To fields the program works correctly. In SSR_RPT_PURG.GetRptRq.Step10, the where clause built for Request Print Date adds an additional AND word which caused the process to fail.

XML Transcript: Can not print multiple copies of the transcript

Currently there is a field to identify number of copies to print. The XMLP transcript process needs to react to this fields.

As a result, when Edit Prompts link is clicked selecting academic career using the new defined transcript type, no record(s) is being pulled from TRANSCRIPT_CARS. For the reason that, defining transcript type using Set Up SACR-> Product Related -> Student Records -> Transcript -> Define Transcript Type is saved to SSR_TSCRPT_CARS not on TRANSCRIPT_CARS.

Process Transcript batch transcript process produces multiple PDF files for transcripts

When running SSR_TSRPT (Records and Enrollment - Transcripts - Batch Transcripts - Process Transcripts) for multiple students, using the Generate and Print option for either Date or Request Nbr range, a pdf is produced for each student/request nbr. This is cumbersome and needs great deal of manual work when the user processes requests for Official Transcripts from hundreds of students. It is time-consuming and laborious to have to open each pdf and print one pdf file at a time. There should be an option to print all the transcripts together or the process should create one pdf file as created in the case of Request, Generate and Print option.

If a student is active in multiple institutions in different careers the xmlp transcript for the student generates an extra page.

Dummy Modules For Research/Placement Students

In situations where students are active but do not have any class enrollments a single dummy record needs to be reported in StudentOnModule reflecting the student's year of program/plan. These dummy modules also need to be reported in the Module entity, based upon HESA values defined for the Academic Plan. This is required for Research students without class enrolments and also student's undertaking a Placement year.

Currently if no records are defined under HESA Instance Data - Research Data then Student Advisor records are examined and RAE Data entities created based on the Advisor HESA Data records for the active academic advisor with the lowest advisor number defined in the Student Advisor records.

Depending on the institution's requirements in some cases a student will have multiple active Student Advisor records and the record with the lowest advisor number will not necessarily relate to the student's research supervisor. Institutions require a means of defining which Advisor Role(s) should be considered when deriving RAE Data entities.

The derivation of COMDATE does not currently cater for Research students. Where the student does not have any class enrollments the date needs to be set to the earliest effective date of the HESA Instance records, i.e. the date the student was matriculated or activated.

HESA: Creation of duplicate HUSIDs for different students if have more than one return

When we place a seeded value in the return setup for two different returns e.g. HESA0809 KAREN0809, it will create the same HUSID for two different students. i.e. it does not seem to check that the ID exists before creating a new one. This will become problematic when we use this in earnest in June.

This occurs with both manual and batch term or session withdrawals where the last date of attendance falls within the 'Drop w/ Penalty' period.

Term Withdrawal process not populating STDNT_ENRL.ENRL_DROP_DT for related components.

The Term Withdrawal process is not populating the STDNT_ENRL.ENRL_DROP_DT field for the related class sections of a multiple component course when the term is within the Drop with Penalty period. This field is correctly populated by the Enrollment engine when a drop is processed during the Drop with Penalty period. This is not consistent and therefore causes problems with enrollment reporting and management. Further, this field is needed by Student Financials.

Accounting Line Validation - Chartfield Combination Audit Report

Student Financials currently performs Chartfield combination validation only when the combinations are initially created and associated with GL related transactions during setup. These Chartfield combinations may become invalid over time. The system currently does not validate the Chartfield combinations in our accounting line transactions nor does it allow editing of the Chartfields once the accounting line transactions have been created.

Since no facility currently exists to validate the Chartfield combinations prior to transferring them to the GL, it is possible for invalid transactions to be interfaced to the GL. Once transmitted to the GL, manual intervention is required to correct the invalid Chartfield combinations contained in the accounting line transactions.

An audit report currently exits, but it is limited to reviewing if specific chartfields are still valid, it does not review if the combination of the chartfields is still valid. This enhancement will overcome this limitation.

In this enhancement it is proposed that a new audit report be created to validate existing chartfield setup to determine the combinations are still valid. The report will be run on demand and provide the user with information to correct invalid chartfield combinations.

Copy Deferral contract returns SQL error when not copying all values

The copy icon on DEFER_CONTRACT will return a sql error when the user has not chosen to "copy all values" even after correctly populating the values that are not brought forward by the copy. When choosing copy all values the save is successful and these values can be modified and changed as needed.

Group Reversal of Refund item type reverses all activity on a students account.

Because a Group posted refund does not have a Refund number, when a group reversal is created of a refund item type group every transaction without a refund number is reversed by posting. This includes all item types, payments, waivers, charges, app fees, financial aid. Subsequent runs of table validation will set the payments to 0 in the payment table.

Waiver from waiver groups associated with course fees is calculated twice when student is in two careers.

When a student is active and enrolled in two careers the waivers associated with a course will calculate and post for both careers. After add drop or adjustment of course fees error 14816,11193 Error - Payment program failed to find a row given business unit, item_nbr and emplid. Program name : SFPAPLPY.CBL Section : UA002-GET-APPLIED-AMT (14816,11193). Similar error is displayed for Term Fee Waivers.

Only course and class fees with the same stdnt_car_nbr as the waiver will be included in the waiver. Changing the program the student is activated in after enrollment will not update the stdnt_enrl record.

Email communications with image files are being sent as two attachments.

A template was created with an embedded image, an image referenced from a web server, and two images called a from sub-template that was created under XML Publisher. The message went out as a blank message with two attachments rather than one message in an HTML format. One attachment was an .htm file with the text of the message and the referenced image correctly placed but it should have been an HTML format, not an attachment. The other attachment was one of the images from the sub-template (a signature).

Differences on Comm Gen Process Parameters page SCC_CG_RUNCTL2 between English and Dutch

There are differences in the layout of the Process Parameters page in Dutch compared to the layout in English. The appearance and differences of this page impact its usability greatly. Users are unable to use communication generation to generate communications to organizations as this page is currently designed.

SA Bundle 19 problem - SCC_ETHGRP_VW - selects inactive values

On the Ethnicity page there is a new field labeled 'If Yes, Select Ethnic Group'. The list of values that displays in the dropdown for this field includes values that are inactive. It seems that effective date logic needs to be added to the view SCC_ETHGRP_VW.

Previously we were filtering out the duplicate records using a Group By Clause (which was needed because there were duplicate records). Confirmed with the customer that there are no duplicate records anymore and removed the Group By clause resulting in improved performance

This had to be done because the HTML tags were causing the values being displayed to be truncated. Page SSS_MY_ACAD was also edited to widen area for the HTML tree and prevent wrapping.

Resolution DescriptionThe Refresh method called by SAIP functionality was refreshing at Level 0 causing the cursor to be set at the first row. The refresh was deemed necessary as the page data becomes inconsistent with the database because of the update to SAE_TERM_EXT which happens through SQLExec in SAIP notifyEvent() on SavePostChange. This makes the data for SAE_TERM_EXT on the component buffer stale and must be updated which is why the Refresh is being used to reload the rowset object from the database using the current page keys. This results in the loss of context for the user as you will automatically be brought to the first row of level 1. To resolve this issue, the Refresh call was removed and replaced with an update to SAE_TERM_EXT in the component buffer.

The derivation for the commencement date was being ignored for students who did not have any class enrollments. Now the process has been modified to calculate the commencement date for all the students

Application Class SSR_HE_EXTRACT_PRC.Instance_Extraction is modified to generate unique HUSID even if more than one return is run with same HUSID Sequence Number.Also added a step before running the extract for Instance return to check if External ID Type for HUSID is defined for the return. If not, a message is logged and the process is ended.
