Cree XLamp MC-E Color (RGBW) Introduction
WHAT IS IT?• Cree’s new multi chip package with four high power die
(Red, Green, Blue and White)• Extension of the industry leading XLamp color LED portfolio
WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL? (Features & Benefit)• Provides up to 500 lm @ 700 mA per die• Unique package offering • Reduces space between color LED die to almost nothing
– Small optics center for efficient color mixing
– Reduces number of optics
• Lower system component count can reduce total system complexity & cost

XLamp XP-G Demonstration at Lightfair
WHAT IS IT?
• Cree’s newest high performance single chip product
• Extension of the industry leading XLamp XP LED portfolio
WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL?
• Offers highest performance option for applications that require highest level of brightness and efficacy - i.e.. Torch, Off-Grid– R3/R4 flux bins
• Higher brightness & better performance at higher currents can reduce LED count for many applications that require multiple LEDs
PDF created with pdfFactory Pro trial version www.pdffactory.com
• Cool White only (new binning structure)
• Same physical package dimensions as XP-E / XP-C
• Larger die than standard XP-E• Slightly wider FWHM• Larger optical source
• Brightest single-die solution • Projected to be ~ 12% brighter
than current XP-E distribution• Majority of yield in R3/R4 bin
• Low thermal resistance ~ 5º- 6º C/W
• Maximum operating current –minimum of 1A

XP-G Preliminary Characteristics
• Linear relative flux vs. If curve (~250% relative flux @ 1A)
• ~7% brighter than XP-E @ 700mA
• Low Vf ~ 3.0 @ 350mA• ~4% lower than XP-E
• Highest performance XP• 335 lumens @1A• 128 LPW @ 350mA
• Higher efficiency than XP-E for similar flux bins
• ~4% @350mA• ~12% @700mA
