Making reduced or enlarged copies from the original

1 Select [Copy]

2 Select [Reduce / Enlarge] for desired ratio; select [More] for other presets.

3 Select [Paper Supply] for tray selection.

4 Enter number of copies (1 to 9999) using numeric keypad.

5 Press <Start> button

You can make copies with scaling by selecting desired copy size ratio.

3 From machine, Press [Job Status] button - Select <Stored Documents> tab. Select [Secure Print]

4 Select UserID - [Document List] button. Enter Passcodeand press Confirm.

Making a 2-sided print (optional - Finishing)

Files can be printed into 2 sided format with 2 sided flip on long edge or flip on short edge.

1 From application, Select Printer – [Properties]

2 On the [Paper/Output] tab, select <2 Sided Print>

Note: Flip on short edge means the 2nd side of the document are at rotated orientation

3 *Optional FeatureSelect <Finishing> to enable Stapling / Hole punch / Folding. Set required stapling, hole punching or folding position.

4 Select [OK] on all open windows to print.

Making a booklet print from computer

Booklet printing enables multi-page files printed 2-sided booklet format arranged in ascending order, and fold to form a booklet.

1 From application, Select Printer – [Properties]

2 On the [Layout] tab, select <Booklet/Poster/ Mixed Document> Select <Booklet Creation>Select [OK]

3 A popup window displays the changes. Select [OK]

4 Select ‘Fit to New Paper Size’ – Set any preferred paper size or select A4 (210mm x 297mm)

5 Select [OK] on all open windows to print.

You can print a multi-page files into a single print using Multiple-Up (from 2 Up to 32 Ups)

Making a printout with Watermarks

1 From application, Select Printer – [Properties]

2 On the [Watermarks] tab, select watermark (e.g. Confidential, Urgent, etc.) orSelect [New Text] to create Select [Edit Watermark] to edit any watermark.

4 Select [Print on Page 1 Only] to print watermark on first page, if necessary.

5 Select [OK] on all open windows to print.

From your application, you can insert watermark.

Clearing Paper Jams

Paper Jams in the Document Feeder

If paper is torn, make sure to remove any torn pieces of paper inside the machine.

4: Carefully remove any paper in this area.Close all the covers. 5: If the original cannot be found, raise DADF slowly, remove any paper. If necessary,

raise DADF Tray and remove original from Output Tray.Gently return DADF Tray to its original position.

Paper Jam in Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF)

1: Lift up the front edge of the Duplex Automatic Document Feeder (DADF). 2: Open the belt area by pulling down on the small green lever located on the outer,

bottom left corner of the DADF. Remove the jammed original3: Gently press up on the left edge of the belt to return the belt to its original position. 4: Lower the DADF. 5; Make sure the original is not torn, wrinkled, or folded; load the original face-up in the

DADF following the instructions displayed on the Touch Screen.

1: Pull up Top Cover of DADF until it is completely open. The Left Cover will open partially.

2: Locate the jammed original and carefully remove it.3: If there are instructions on the Touch Screen to open the Inner Cover, lift up clear

plastic lever located on the back of the DADF. The lever has a green arrow on it.

Clearing Paper Jams

Paper Jams in Transfer Module (Front Cover Areas 2A & 2B)

1: Ensure machine is idle. Gently open front cover. 2-3: Turn handle 2 to the right until it is in the horizontal position, and then pull out the Transfer Module.

4: Remove any visibly jammed paper.5: Move handle 2a to the right and remove any jammed paper. Return handle 2a to its position.6: Pull down handle 2b and remove any jammed paper. Return handle 2b to its original position. Push in the Transfer Module completely and turn handle 2 to the left before closing the Front Cover.

WARNING! The machine parts are very hot to touch and remove. Never touch a labeled area indicating 'High Temperature' and 'Caution' to avoid burns.

Paper Jam in Finisher Unit * Optional Feature

Gently open the finisher door.

Remove any jammed paper at selected areadisplayed on the screen.

If paper torn, try to remove any torn pieces inside the machine.

If the edge of the jammed paper can be reached, pull the jammed paper to remove the jammed paper. Gently close the cover.

If paper is torn, make sure to remove any torn pieces of paper inside the machine.

1: Ensure machine is idle. Gently open front cover. 2: Pull out paper tray 1. Pull out Transport Unit 4 using the handle above Paper Tray 1.

3: When the Transport Unit is pulled out, Paper Tray 2 will be pushed out. 4: Lift up lever 4a and remove any jammed paper. Return lever 4a to its original position. Push Paper Tray 2 in gently until it comes to a complete stop. When the tray is pushed in, the Transport Unit will be inserted into the machine at the same time. Push Paper Tray 1 in gently until it comes to a complete stop. Close the Front Door.

1: If the High Capacity Feeder (HCF / Paper Trays 6 & 7) is installed on the machine, open the Left Door that is located between the HCF and Trays 1 - 4. 2: Open the Lower Left Door that is located behind the Left Door; toward the bottom of the machine. 3: Remove any jammed paper in this area. Close the Lower Left Door.

1: Ensure machine is idle. Open the front door of the machine. 2: Rotate the toner cartridge to the left to the unlocked position. Pull out the cartridge slowly. Remove the new cartridge from packaging. Gently shake the cartridge from left to right.3: Hold the cartridge with arrow face-up & Push cartridge slowly into machine. 4: Rotate the cartridge to the right to the locked position. Close the door.

1: Ensure machine is idle. Open the front cover. 2: Open the waste toner container cover. Grip the handle of the waste toner container and pull out about half of it. 3: Hold center part on the container, and remove it. Put it into provided plastic bag. 4: Hold center part on top of a new container and insert it until it comes to a stop. Close waste toner container cover and front cover.

2: Pull out the Punch Scrap Container labeled R4. Discard all the punch scraps. Insert the empty container into the machine as far as possible and close the Right Door.

Replacing Consumables

Replace Staple Waste Container

1: Ensure machine is idle. Open the Right Door on the Finisher. Push the R5 lever to the left to unlock it, and then pull out staple waste container. 2: Align the bottom of the new staple waste container onto the support shelf. 3: Push the staple waste container into the machine until it clicks into place. After a short delay, the new container will lock automatically and close the Finisher door.

1: Ensure machine is idle. Open the Right Door on the Finisher. 2: Grasp Staple Cartridge handle located at R1 and pull out cartridge. 3: Push the position indicators located at both sides to remove staple case from cartridge. Remove empty staple case & insert new staple case into the Staple Cartridge. Remove the seal that is attached to the case. 4: Close bottom of the cartridge until it clicks into place. Push down cartridge until it clicks into place and close Right Door.

Replacing Staple Cartridge (Booklet Finisher)

1: Open Finisher Front Door. Pull Booklet Maker access handles and pull out Stapling Unit.2: Squeeze the handles and pull to remove the used cartridge. Unpack and install the new cartridge. The cartridge will click into place when it is installed correctly. 3: Return the Stapling Unit to its original position. Close the Finisher Front Door.
