XDM Quad™ Single-Use Mixing System
DATA SHEET
The Xcellerex XDM Quad Mixing System is designed for convenient and
effi cient mixing of buff er, media, product, and other process fl uids. The single-use
system eliminates the hassle of time-consuming and costly steam-in-place (SIP),
clean-in-place (CIP), and cleaning validation. The result is more effi cient processing
and rapid batch-to-batch turnover time.
The XDM Quad is comprised of a full-featured and integrated rigid containment
system complete with motor and controls, and an irradiated USP Class VI, single-
use LDPE fl uid contact layer bag equipped with a disposable bottom-mounted
impeller. The engagement between motor and disposable impeller is via a robust
magnetic coupling, and agitation is driven through stainless steel bearings within
the impeller, imparting high torque and rapid mixing to the system.

The XDM Quad Mixing System is available in 100L , 200L, 500L and 1000L sizes.

• Integrated holders for 50ml conical buff er tubes
• Integrated supports for bag tubing lines
• Bags have integrated 3” Tri-clamp port for powder addition
• Translucent lid is included for protection of bag and is equipped with securing feature for bag powder addition port and hopper
• 500L and 1,000L systems equipped with removable door for easy bag loading
• Two bag types: BASIC and PLUS (additional lines, probe ports, and connections)
• System also available in either polypropylene or jacketed stainless steel (for heat-ing and cooling applications
• Fully wash-down rated
bag types that include varying numbers of tubing lines and
connections, and sampling and sensing capabilities to accom-
modate a wide array of applications. Key features of the bag
and rigid container also permit seamless transitioning between
powder-liquid and liquid-liquid mixing applications. The XDM
Quad Mixing System is also available in either polypropylene
or jacketed stainless steel (for heating and cooling applications).
