Renovation Work

Dear Xaverians and Friends,

We have strived harder in the last three years to improve the communication among the stakeholders of the school. Much attention

was paid to the ongoing dialogue between the school administration, students, faculty and staff, and parents. Regular staff meetings,

parent-teacher meetings and were the important vehicles for this. A good number of the alumni/alumnae have

expressed their desire to be kept informed about the happenings in their alma mater. So we are launching this quarterly e-news letter

in the Diamond Jubilee year of the school with this inaugural issue. Warm regards… Fr. P. J. James, S.J.

Towards more Eco-friendly Living

On June 18, Col. Binay Kumar (Retd.)

addressed the students on how the

earth's precious resources can be

conserved using low cost technology.

He has agreed to support the school's

effort to convert bio-degradable waste

to vermi-compost. A week later a

group of teachers visited the colonel's

farm to learn more about the ideas he

shared in the school.

With the collaboration of the forest department the green cover

of the campus will be increased with the plantation of 400 trees

this year. All these activities are being undertaken with the full

support and participation of the students. There is a plan to install

a paper recycling plant on the campus this very academic year.
