My High 0ne Year

When I entered High 1, I never thought it would be as fun as some people have claimed it to be fun.

I initially had two goals when I

entered High School: To at least pass and if possible, get high grades, also, to make my first year in high school memorable in any way I can do. I tried to participate in a lot of projects, the A-Day committee’s audition for the A-Day performances, the XGT, and a lot other school-related projects. Amongst the participation in school activities, I also struggled with the schedule because I’ll never know when I can’t do it anymore, and with the assessments, and the creepy time-schedule, I was literally pushing my body to cope with the life in high school. And I eventually succeeded in this aspect in my high school life. I had no failing subject, just a weak point which was a plus-point but also, i wasn’t contented with my scores/grades recently so I had to try to push my body more when I study. All the cramming, all the sacrifices, all the fun and adapting to the high-school life, all the assessments, all the activities I joined, I know by then when I grow up I an tell my grandchildren about how life was back in high-school and because of the events that happened I know I’ve made my high one year a memorable that I would cherish till the day I graduate from Xavier.. -Christian Chua, H1C

“Life is like a stage, we have to

perform every act well.”-Christian Chua, H1-C

“If you could do anything today what would you do?I would say “i would go out there and do it”-Bob Chua, H1C

my quote wants to tell the people if you just go out there and try and believe that you could do it you might just accomplish something like if you give high school a chance you could go for the adjustments that will help you in college.-Bob Chua, H1C

Mr.UyOne of our mentors/class assists. Also 1C’s Filipino teacher.

He is known to be an OPM fan along with some fellow classmates back in 1C.

His teaching style in class involves the use of his humor which helped our class learn Filipino more easier. Also because of him, our filipino speaking skills wouldn’t have improved.

Mr. YuAnother one of our mentors/class assists. He is also a technician in the science lab so we can just call him whenever we need him for science projects with the use of the lab.

He is known to be a “budding class adviser” because when Mr.Alibudbud, our class adviser, participated in XCE with the H2 students, he stood as a replacement for Mr. Alibudbud when he was gone. He also brought us a fun 3rd quarter.

Mr.AlibudbudHe is 1C’s class adviser. At the start of this year when he gave us the H1 orientation, he already made us feel very very welcomed and made us feel that H1 would be fun.

He is also 1C’s English teacher for H1 he was very enthusiastic when he taught 1C.

He is also a very supportive teacher because he promotes and supports every thing related to his advisees.

This is how H1 was for us, this is how we felt. This e-mag shared our 1C-memories and even H1 memories in general. Together our batch will remember these moments shared with the best batch of H1-class advisers and class assists. Together, we will continue to Inspire our younger brothers into living the life of a true Xavierian to “Let Your Light Shine” and to “Be Men For Others”, we have learned a lot in our first year in High school, it may be a bumpy ride with a lot of obstacles, but it was all worth it and we learned a lot from those experiences. In the next few years left in Xavier, we will live out the Xavier word and make every experience and memories count until the day we graduate. This is one of the memories we will cherish when we live our separate lives as individuals.
