CONCLUSIONESCONCLUSIONES El déficit grave de AT (ZZ) afecta a unos 120.000
europeos de 21 países.
Hay además casi 17 millones de sujetos con riesgo
menor pero elevado, portadores de fenotipos SZ y MZ. Existen marcadas diferencias entre los países, y en
ocasiones, dentro un mismo país. Es llamativa la ausencia o poca fiabilidad de datos
existentes en numerosas regiones, por lo que son precisos más estudios para hacer una estimación más precisa del número de afectados.
En España habría unos 12.012.000 ZZ00 ZZ, responsables de
2.5262.526 casos de EPOC y de un número no determinado
de patologías diversas relacionadas con D-AT.
• Individuos ZZ sin deterioro de la función respiratoria no diagnosticados de EPOC
• ZZ con EPOC a los que nunca se les han determinado niveles de AT
• ZZ con cirrosis hepática u otras enfermedades no Dx
