map „Podgórze 2014”
scale 1:4 000 and 1:5000, e- 2,5 m, author : Piotr Pietroń
Time limit: 180 min
Terrain description:
The terrain of the city stage is a mixture of urbanized areas (old
tenement houses, modern blocks of flats and single-family houses),
parks, forests and open areas. You can find here many cliffs, rocks and
big rock faces, which are remnants of medieval stone quarries. The
terrain is complicated and offers many variants.

The competition centre is located at the KS Korona Kraków
football stadium, ul. Parkowa 12 (GPS N50 02.468 E19 57.084).
Schematic map of the centre is presented below. Parking spaces
are available in the car park before the stadium (entrance from ul.
Krzemionki) or on the streets around the stadium and Bednarski
Park (map below).
Start and finish will be located at the KS Korona football
stadium. Finish line will be located on the stadium grounds behind
the goalposts. Start will be behind the stands on the opposite side
of the stadium (the approach to the start will not be marked,

Stage 3 – 27.07.2014
Middle distance
map „Biskupice - Grodzisko”
scale 1: 7 500, e- 5 m, author : Piotr Pietroń
Time limit: 90 min
Terrain description:
The area is characterised by moderate climb (200-300 m a.s.l.) in a
beech forest with very good runnability. Some parts are more dense,
usually they are overgrowing tree-logging places. The relief is
diversified – many ravines, draws (usually shallow), hills, ditches,
accompanied by watercourses, small lakes and marshes. Very little
roads and paths, the existing ones are usually old tree transportation
roads, mostly passable.
Competition centre and car park:
The competition centre is located at the sports field of the primary school in
Biskupice (GPS N50 02.468 E19 57.084). Schematic maps of the center
below. Car park will be organized on the grounds of the fire brigade, next to
the sports field.
Start and finish:
Finish line will be located on the sports field of the primary school in
Biskupice, in the competition centre. The start will be in the forest south of
the school. The approach to the start is ca. 700 m and will be marked with
blue ribbons. You will be walking along a busy road, so please be careful.
Walk only on the pavement and on the left side of the road. Only cross the
road when you have made sure it is safe.
There are two obligatory runs on the way to the finish line. The first one
leads for the penultimate to the last control point, the second one leads to
the finish line. This is due to the fact that part of the approach will be along a
local road. There is little traffic but we ask you to be careful. The approach
will be observed by the referees.
