Holiday Island Rab - 5 days / 4 nights

Magical island in the Kvarner bay

1st Day: arrival Island of Rab

Arrival is on the selected route you to the island of Rab from the mainland we go by ferry to the island.

2nd Day: Explore the island of Rab

For today, we recommend you on a tour of the island. The town of Rab, the center of the island, is located between the bay Sv. Euphemia and the harbor. Surrounded by the old city walls dating from the 12th and 13 Century can be found in the old town beautiful squares, palaces, churches, the Archaeological Park and the landmark of the city, the four bell towers. Drive towards Kampor, where you can visit the monastery of St. Euphemia with the church, the cemetery and the gallery. Then it goes on to Suha Punta, then towards the town of Rab and Lopar. After you visit the town of San Marino and the famous Paradise beach. Along the way you will also have the opportunity to visit St. Peter's Church in Supetarska Draga. A must is a wine tasting on the island, where you can sample some of the excellent wines (available at an extra charge).

3rd Day: Boat trip on the fjord

A special highlight awaits you today: an approximately 5-hour boat trip to the fjord Zavratnica (without a guide). Let it all hang out at the shippers over the clear waters of the Adriatic. The afternoon is at your leisure. Stroll through the town of Rab, there are many opportunities to buy great souvenirs or relax depending on weather conditions at the beach.

4th Day: A Day at the Kvarner

Today, you can get to know on Kvarner Bay with your tour guide, the two cities Opatija and Rijeka. Opatija, which is the Grande Dame of the Croatian Adriatic coast, a seaside resort on the Bay of Kvarner. Thanks to the extensive, directly at the seaside parks, and numerous elegant villas and hotels from the period of Opatija and its surroundings always worth a visit. You can still visit Rijeka, the city through its ferry port is an important transportation hub then. On the way you will experience the spectacular views of the coast road to the sea.

5th Day: home

Beautiful nature, crystal clear water and a picturesque town were the highlights of your trip. Now it is once again on the ferry back to the mainland and drive you home.

Alternative for the third Day - Plitvice Lakes

On the third day you can schedule instead of the boat trip at no extra charge also take a trip to the Plitvice Lakes. You are a complex of about 16 cascaded interconnected lakes (this number changes over time) that formed along the river course of the Korana and represent a unique in the world natural phenomenon, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. In the oldest national park in Croatia mountain climate prevails with an average annual temperature of 8 to 10 degrees and an annual rainfall 1200-1400 mm. The water temperature of the lakes Proscansko Jezero and Kozjak increases in summer up to 24 degrees. Snow lasts from November to late March, the lakes are in December and January under the ice. In the partially primeval beech and fir forests have numerous other local rare species such as the brown bear, survived. Became internationally known is the park including through the Winnetou films. The lake and waterfall shots were filmed in this national park.

3rd Day: Visit to National Park Krka and Sibenik

A trip to the Krka waterfalls is undoubtedly one of the highlights of a journey to Dalmatia. In the hinterland of Sibenik and boasts a unique natural spectacle. The sparkling waterfalls are formed by the Krka River. The river springs from a karstic source, and has a canyon sawed in the Dinaric mountain board. Next take a walk through the picturesque old town of Sibenik, picturesquely situated on the Krka estuary.

4th Day: Sibenik - Trogir - Split - Makarska Riviera

On the beautiful coast road, continue in the direction of Makarska Riviera, the most beautiful part of the Dalmatian coast. The old center of the coastal town of Trogir, the Santa Fe from Winnetou III, is one big museum, rich in cultural and historic treasures and sights. Afterwards, we head back to Split. The second largest city in Croatia is also the economic and cultural center of Dalmatia. You can use the monumental Palace of Diocletian, in whose walls the old town has originated from Split, visit the Cathedral and the Temple of Jupiter.

5th Day: Excursion Dubrovnik

Today we will make a day trip to Dubrovnik. The recorded in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is a listed old town is surrounded by a medieval fortification wall. 1st Day: arrival to the island of Krk

Cres, Losinj, Krk and Rab - the names of the four major islands in the Kvarner Bay are unclouded holiday delights. Each of the islands has its own special beauty and even though they are so close together that nature forms a broad spectrum: from the barren mountains on the island of Krk to the sub-tropical vegetation on Losinj. Thanks to the bridge to the island of Krk (toll road) takes you easily from the mainland to your hotel.

2nd Day: trip to the island of Rab

Rab, the popular resort island with its 2000 year old capital, on the map, from small, but offers a great landscape. Seductive beaches with azure blue water can be found as well as rocky coasts with a harsh climate. Not for nothing Rab considered the most beautiful of the four islands in the Kvarner bay. Many artists have in on the beautiful island of their studios. Lively center Rabs is the same town with the known four church towers. 3rd Day: Krk Tour

Again, it starts with the ferry: From Valbiska leads to Merag on the rocky island of Cres, which was ruled by the Venetians nearly 750 years. The pretty town of Cres has a car-free old town with winding, narrow lanes and romantic pastel-colored house fronts. The rugged island offers people not much will happen, so, entire villages have been deserted on Cres. Who has but once found access to this modest island and its friendly inhabitants, you'll come back. Only 9m wide is the channel that separates Cres Losinj. The island is green and does an equally cheerful again. Beautiful is along a walk on the promenade by the sea. Did you know that the waters were declared the island a protected area for dolphins?

Breathtaking is the mixture of medieval fortress and well-ordered baroque city, surrounded by the sea and surrounded by thick walls. 3rd Day: A day on the coast

Just relax, treat yourself to a quiet relaxing day - this could be your program for the day. Who would like to discover more, we recommend a trip to Mostar and Medjugorje in neighboring Bosnia-Herzegovina. You can visit the city of Mostar and immerse yourself in the world between East and West. Famous Mostar is mainly for the newly built bridge, a symbol of peace. The tour will continue on to Medjugorje, the most famous place of pilgrimage throughout the Balkans. We are happy to book this tour for you at an additional cost.

4th Day: Magical Montenegro

Today we go to Montenegro, the fantastically beautiful neighboring country with its beautiful beaches and historic treasures. The tour guide is the group right after the border crossing to and guide you to Kotor and Cetinje first. High above the coast is the former capital of the Kingdom of Montenegro, Cetinje. The city is still regarded as the cultural and historical center of the country. Breathtaking is the view of the Bay of Kotor on the shallow waters of the Adriatic to the Black Mountains. Steep cliffs surround the bay. It has become, with its stunning scenery and places past richness as a UNESCO world natural and World Heritage Site one of the most popular attractions. Enjoy your ride on the view of the Budva Riviera, which is also famous for its beautiful sandy beaches.

5th Day: Departure

4th Day: Sibenik - Trogir - Split - Makarska Riviera

The old center of the coastal town of Trogir, the Santa Fe from Winnetou III, is virtually one large walk-in museum, rich in cultural and historic treasures and sights, and therefore also on the UNESCO list. Afterwards, we head back to Split. Not only can you visit the Cathedral and the Temple of Jupiter, but already the next World Heritage Site: the Diocletian's Palace. 300 built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian by the best Greek and Roman architects and quartered by two ways, the inhabitants were able to set up domesticated for protection from raids in which more than 3000 square meter site.

5th Day: Excursion Dubrovnik

Istria - 5 days / 4 nights

1st Day: Arrival Istria

Istria, the heart-shaped peninsula in northern Croatia, has everything you need for a perfect holiday: great beaches, beautiful towns, cultural highlights. And more and more restaurants that are world class. No place is farther than 35km from the water, Istria and the Kvarner bay have more then 1000km coast! Incidentally, Istria has also developed into an excellent wine growing region of the olive raving even Italian gastronomy and the Istrian truffles are world famous!

2nd Day: coastal, island world and visit Porec

Picturesque town, beautiful beaches and boats to reach quickly Islands Istria make for a very attractive tourist magnet. Many restaurants around the harbor promenades and many pubs invite you to stroll. Porec, promoted by UNESCO city, is one of the most magnificent cities along the coast. The approximately 250km long coastline has also secluded rocky coves, sandy beaches rarely, but always clear water for swimming and to mild, Mediterranean climate.

3rd Day: In the heart of Istria

The Istrian interior is reminiscent of Tuscany and pleases the eye with wine and hiking mountains, with truffle forests and very pretty mountain towns such as Motovun and Groznjan. Visit Pazin in the heart of Istria. Worth seeing is the castle on a 120m high gorge where the river disappears Fojba in a rock hole. Surrounded by vineyards, Motovun perched visible from afar on a steep hill overlooking the valley of the Mirna. With its old city gates, palaces and churches, this medieval town one of the most charming places in the hinterland. Our recommendation: a lunch in one of the quaint restaurants. The bus must be parked on the outskirts of Motovun, on foot you reach in about 1 hour up the mountain. Alternatively, there is a shuttle bus (cost is currently about 2 EUR per person, payable locally)

4th Day: boat trip and visit to Pula Limfjord

A fjord in Croatia? The Limfjord is actually a bay that extends almost 12km in the pristine wild karst landscape and its glossy blue water entices you to Step Into. But be careful: at 100m depth, it is quite cold! The up to 150m high, overgrown with scrub and partly wooded slopes, giving the fjord the character of a canyon. From the inland fresh water of the Lim-stream encounters the invading sea water and provides for example for oysters excellent breeding opportunities. Experience an unused Biosphere Reserve! Also Pula, the remarkable Roman gem with its famous amphitheater experience when visiting!

3rd Day: discover Trogir and Split

Pretty medieval town on the Dalmatian coast, there are many, but with Trogir, it can take only a few. The small, perfectly preserved city is one big museum with its magnificent Cathedral, the Gothic palaces and ancient monasteries basically and was therefore declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. After so much culture you can roam on the way to split your view of the water. Today we go to Montenegro, the fantastically beautiful neighboring country with its beautiful beaches and historic treasures. Breathtaking is the view of the Bay of Kotor on the shallow waters of the Adriatic to the Black Mountains. Steep cliffs surround the bay. It has become, with its stunning scenery and places past richness as a UNESCO world natural and World Heritage Site one of the most popular attractions. 4th Day: Excursion National Park Lovcen and Njeguši with ham sample

High above the coast is the former capital of the Kingdom of Montenegro, Cetinje. The city is still regarded as the cultural and historical center of the country. This is the entrance to the National Park Lovcen. For the Montenegrins Lovcen is a sacred place with an exceptional view of the Bay of Kotor and the coast with its turquoise blue water. 6th Day: Excursion National Park Skadar Lake

2nd Day: island of Pag and Zadar

Thanks to its sandy, rocky surface, which is a bit like a lunar landscape and a variety of olives trees, the island has a very special appeal. One can find many herbs such as sage here that are eaten by the numerous sheep on the island. The biggest cities of the island, the island's capital and the tourist center of Pag Novalja. Besides fishing and the sea salt production of wine growing and tourism play an important economic role. The most important building is the Sibenik St. James, whose roof consists of a barrel vault of cantilevered slabs Cathedral. It is perhaps the finest example of Croatian church architecture. During a tour you will learn the port city of Heraklion and visit the archaeological museum with probably unique collection from the Minoan era. 3rd Day: Excursion Crete West

The Monastery Moni Arkadi played an important role in the resistance war against the Turks. The lovely Venetian baroque church with the open bell tower was mapped to the 100-drachma bill. Rethymnon is considered the cultural center of the island and is home to several museums, the Faculty of Arts of the University of Crete. The landmark of the place is a fortress from the Venetian period, which stands on an exposed rock on the bay. Further inland, the Venetian Old Town attaches in its winding streets, there are a myriad of small shops, arts and crafts workshops, cozy bars and restaurants with varied cuisine. 4th Day: Meteora

A unique landscape, the steep rocks of Meteora in Thessaly in the immediate vicinity of Kalambaka. From a valley rise several rock towers up, on which there are several inhabited monasteries. 5th Day: Malta - Mdina excursion, Rabat and Mosta

Today, a visit to the ancient capital of Mdina, also known as the "silent city" on the program. From the city you have a magnificent view over large parts of the island. After a lunch break in Mdina or Rabat visit the "St. Paul's Grotto "where, according to tradition, St. Paul was to have lived during his three-month stay in Malta. In the Botanical Garden "St. Anton Gardens "you can familiarize yourself with the local flora. Flight from home airport to Izmir. Upon arrival, welcome by your guide at the airport. Transfer to Seferihisar, which is located in the Aegean region on the edge of the province of Izmir. 5th Day: Naxos

8th Day: Paros - Piraeus - Tolon

In the morning the ferry sails from Piraeus. After about 4.5 hours crossing from the port of Athens. Along the Saronic Gulf to reach the Peloponnese. In the evening you reach Tolon.

9th Day: Tolon - Patras
