Register for your computer access:• You can register for your Monash (authcate) username and
password by going to the IT Information for students site. • You will need your Monash ID.• If you haven’t already done so, you can do this whilst in the
research session this afternoon.

What do you use my Monash Portal for?Your authcate username and password allow you
to access the IT resources of Monash, including the my.monash portal.

WEB ENROLMENT SYSTEM (WES)
Logging into Web Enrolment System (WES):• Go to my.monash.edu/wes• Enter your authcate username, password and date of birth• Click on the Login button
What you can do in WES:• View or Amend your address (compulsory)• Maintain your emergency contact details• Complete the Enrolment Questionnaire (take note of your transaction number)• View your Monash results• Print/view your unofficial academic record
Important: International students studying in Australia must maintain an up-to-date Australian postal address with the University at all times otherwise you may be in breach of visa regulations.

Exchange students are required to:
• enrol in a full-time load - (4 units per semester)
unless there are compelling reasons to underload by one unit
• To underload you must seek approval from – Cathy Meredith, Student & Academic Services and – your home university

UNIT ENROLMENTS (SELECTION):
• Please refer to your Course Enrolment Form (CEF)
• You may have more than four units listed on your form.
• For enrolment purposes - please select four units you wish to enrol in and delete the remaining units now.
You have up to two weeks after commencement of Semester 1 (1 March) until 12 March to change your selected units.
• Sign and date the form and hand to me after this session.
• I will process/enrol you in your selected four units by 5.00 pm today, 17 February (you will be able to view your enrolment via WES after this date)

CHANGE TO ENROLMENT (unit selection)
IMPORTANT: Adding and Discontinuing units Adding or changing an approved unit: • You must email [email protected] and request approval.• Important deadline: Can only add a unit up until 12 March
(within the first two weeks of semester).
Discontinuing a unit:• You must email [email protected] and request approval.• Important deadline: Can only discontinue a unit up until 31 March
Please note: If you do discontinue a unit you may need to add another (be aware of the dates as the date to add is before the date for discontinuing)

TIMETABLE & ALLOCATE +
Timetable:• You will need to build your timetable using:MUTTS (Timetabling system)http://mutts.monash.edu.au/MUTTS/
Allocate + (Timetable allocation system):• Only use Allocate + for multi-streamed units.
Most elective units only have one stream and therefore some of you will not need to allocate.
• If required, you must register on Allocate + tomorrow Thursday 18 February between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm as it closes after this time.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure you are aware of enrolment dates/withdrawal dates/non-fail dates and take action to amend enrolment if necessary BEFORE these dates.
• Read student emails 3-4 times per week.
• Ensure postal address is correct and up to date (WES)
• Read all correspondence carefully and respond by required dates.
• Retain enrolment records and documentation including WES transaction numbers etc.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES (continued)
• Attend classes! The units you are enrolling in are NOT distance education courses.
• Be aware of examination period dates and attend examinations! DO NOT schedule holidays or social events during the examination periods. These are NEVER grounds for deferred examinations.
• Special Consideration policies and Non English Speaking Background (NESB) policy.
• Inform Student Services staff immediately of problems that may impact your enrolment or ability to study – the earlier we are advised the more we will be able to do to help.
