Sexual Harassment • Definition: Unwelcome verbal,
visual, or physical conduct of a sexual nature that affects working conditions/creating hostile work/community environment
• Adopt and implement a sexual harassment policy and plan (format to be provided by MCA Zambia)

• Identify the key point of contact for reporting cases of sexual Harassment
• The Sexual Harassment Plan to include,– key point of contact, – procedure for reporting, – incident referral plan & – mitigation measures
• Display clear & visible posters on reporting channels at worksite & communities where construction is taking place

Trafficking in Persons• Certification and compliance with
requirements of the MCC Counter TIP Policy through implementation of the Counter TIP Plan to be developed by MCA Zambia
• Provide employees with information on how to report instances of TIP, stating the investigative & mitigative procedures

Child Labour• Child labour is prohibited by
Zambian law and Contractors are expected to comply
• Contractors will maintain up to-date records of staff, disaggregated by sex and age (including those engaged by Sub-contractors), to be confirmed by National Identity Cards

Child Labour• Inform employees on child
labour restrictions • Contractor to report on any
form of child labour cases and how the case(s) has/have been mitigated

Community Outreach
• Working with MCA Zambia, inform surrounding communities on employment opportunities & Contractor’s stand on TIP, Sexual Harassment & Child Labour policies
• Ensure all community outreach activities (related to TIP, child labour, sexual harassment, employment) are socially inclusive and gender sensitive

Community Outreach (Cont’d)
• Social and Gender Manager to work with Health and Safety Manager to ensure safety of children, elderly, disabled and all community members affected and around construction sites
• Monitor and report any social and gender risks/impacts and their mitigation during construction

Training & Reporting
• Contractor through the SGA Manager to conduct Social & Gender training for all Managers and supervisors on sexual harassment, child labour, employment/labor, TIP
• Training for skilled and unskilled workers will be in the form of toolbox talks (twice a month)
• Contractor will prepare monthly reports on activities related to Social & Gender concerns as specified in Technical specifications
