Climate• Vietnam has two distinct seasons: summer

Vietnamese New Year

• In 2008, Tet was on February 7th. It is the year of the Mouse. The national holiday lasts for three days. However, in practice it can be longer, as many celebrations occur before this date in the south of Viet Nam and after this date in the north of Viet Nam.

• Vietnamese New Year is a most important Vietnamese Holiday. Tet is the celebration of the beginning of spring as well as a new year. It is the time for family reunions, exchanging gifs, best wishes and the beginning of a new year.

• The first visitor to the house on the first morning of Tet is very important. Particular care is taken to arrange in advance to have the visitor to be rich, happy and prestigious.
