“Live a great life.”Health24 is South Africa’s largest health and wellness website, covering health in its broad-est possible sense. We have an up-to-the-min-ute, specialist-reviewed A-Z of every disease you never want to get; alongside a comprehen-sive “mind” section looking at everything from mood to madness; and that’s just for starters. Uniquely, Health24 has more than 40 experts, from a sexologist to a headache expert, an envirohealth expert to a pharmacist, online and on call to answer our readers’ questions.

Health issues are one thing everyone goes on-line about – maybe just to see whether their symptoms suggest they need to go to the doctor, maybe to find out more about a condi-tion they’ve been diagnosed with, and often just to chat to others who’re in their situation.

Health24 has dozens of highly active forums. You’ll find thousands of people active there at any one time, asking questions or respond-ing to other’s posts with information or ideas of their own. From step-parenting to yoga, fertility to dealing with issue of gender bias, they’re talking, listening, and – of course – benefiting from the advice of our experts.

“Where music is everything.”Speakerbox is a music site that target users from 18 to 24 years, as well as the music industry. The site has a strong focus on social networking and user-generated content, and has a real-life pres-ence at music events across SA. On Speakerbox, all users are on an equal footing. The social networking element, which includes Speaker-box Bandspace, allows for direct conversation between bands, reviewers and fans. Users rate or hate as they see fit, and let the world know about it. It’s a cult-URL thing.

Speakerbox journos and fans attend all major music festivals, as well as smaller gigs and par-ties, to make sure that if it’s cool, it’s online. We have a large archive of video interviews, live music videos, and just general strange stuff. There are hundreds of free mp3s by South Afri-can bands available for download - if you want to hear a band, you’ll find it on Speakerbox.

Speakerbox lets the user go where he or she is most comfortable. Go to Rock, Urban, Pop or Dance, wherever you fit in.

Speakerbox is all about attitude, and about the knowledge to back it up. If it’s so hip it hasn’t even happened yet, someone on Speakerbox will be talking about it. The site plugs into the 24.com network, and benefits from the huge amount of traffic that entails.

Speakerbox isn’t just about the extreme edge of cool. Our social networking system, gig guide and photo galleries are the platform for users to showcase their social lives, from danc-ing all night at fashionable clubs, to letting go at student nights.
