Who can attend?Enrollment is open to both adults and high school students.

What will this program cover?The welding program provides students specialized training andtechniques used in industrial, architectural and constructionenvironments. The welding curriculum includes shielded metalarc welding, gas tungsten arc welding and gas metal arcwelding. Welding can be physically demanding and requireslong periods of standing and the ability to lift 50 pounds.Welders must have arm/hand steadiness and good manualdexterity. Welders must use problem-solving skills, be able tofollow directions and be able to apply high school level math andreading skills. Welders cannot have a history of violent felonies.

How long will it take me to complete theprogram?On average, students complete the program in one year ifattending all-day and in two years if attending only one session(morning or afternoon).

What certifications will I receive once Icomplete the program?You will be able to test for the following certifications:

In-district: $2.00/hourOut-of-district: $4.00/hourOut-of-state: $6.00/hour

High School StudentsFree

The average length of our programs are 1050 hours for adults.At $2.00/hour the average total for tuition is $2,100.00. Cost ofadditional supplies will vary. Veterans may be eligible for certain benefits to help pay fortuition. Contact one of our Financial Aid officers or find out moreinformation at http://www.gibill.va.gov

Start times depend on seat availability, but we start newapplicants at four entry points: August, October, January,and March

How do I apply?Adults

Pickup an application and schedule appointments.Appointments will need to be made to complete a pre-entrance exam and attend an admissions interview.

Complete the FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov/ using theSchool Code: 009204.

Attend admissions interview. Make sure to bring allsupporting documentation including: test scores, financialaid award letters, and application.
