FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE WSO Announces 2014-‐2015 Season! Winnipeg, MB -‐ February 21, 2014 -‐ The Winnipeg SymphonyOrchestra (WSO) announces their 2014-‐2015 season andcelebrates a significant moment in Winnipeg, and in Canada, withthe opening of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR). "The 2014-‐2015 season is as diverse as it gets, from Beethoven toBachman; from Natasha Paremski to Sarah Slean; and from theNordic FesVval to the celebraVon of human rights to Ballroomwith a Twist. How can you top that? Personally, BriXen's WarRequiem will be a big highlight as it's one of the most emoVonallyintense pieces ever wriXen," says Alexander Mickelthwate, WSOmusic director.
The WSO presents its 67th season with six series, 39 uniqueconcerts and 66 concert dates that includes internaVonal guestarVsts and conductors, local gems, mulV-‐media presentaVons andfilms with orchestra. Returning favourites this year are: Natasha Paremski, AzizShokhakimov, Nobuyuki Tsujii ("Nobu"), Messiah, Ace Burpee ashost of A Prairie Christmas Spectacular and another ChicagoSymphony Orchestra Beyond the Score® presentaVon. In addiVonthere will be two World Premieres: Vincent Ho's piece on thenight of the Dvořák and Rachmaninoff concert and KenleyKristofferson's Morgun at the Nordic FesVval Finale.
