Lesson 2
LO: To write an explanation
In this lesson, you are going to draw and annotate your very own 'cracking contraption'.
Remember in science we created some of our own, you could use the same idea if you remember it!
Week beginning: 1.6.2020
Watch some of the Wallace and Gromit clips to get your creations started.

LO: To plan an explanation
Lets create your own... You will need to think about...
* A useful job that it will carry out (e.g. bedroom tidier, football shooter)
* Give it a name (e.g.snoozatron)

LO: To write an explanationOnce you have created and drawn your own contraption...
You will need to:
1. Annotate your diagram with some technical language (e.g. cog, lever, pulley, handle)
2. In a different colour, add some interesting and varied verbs (e.g. twist, rotate, fling, eject, haul)

Lesson 3
LO: To plan an explanation
In this lesson, you will be using your diagram to begin to plan your explanation of your very own 'cracking contraption'.
Week beginning: 1.6.2020
It might be useful to recap on some of the examples we have added and/or watch some more of the Wallace and Gromit clips to inspire you!
The 'Teacher Pleaser' is always a good one!

LO: To plan an explanation
Use the planning sheet we have provided or your own idea to plan your explanation of how it works. Remember at this stage, it is only a plan so use bullet points/key words.
You will also want to include/think about:- the purpose of your device (e.g. keep you bedroom clean)- what the device look like (e.g. small and easy to carry)- special features (e.g. long lasting)- warnings (e.g. careful programming)
