Summer Reading Lists

Reading Matters!

Studies have shown that academic excellence is directly

correlated to the amount of reading students do each

day. The better your reading skills are, the better you

will do in all areas of study. To encourage your growth

in this important area, you will be required to read

during the summer break. These assignments must be

completed outside of class. This includes checking out

the book and taking the associated AR test. The

deadline to complete all reading and AR assessments is

3:05 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012.

The Wren High School Library will not be open during

the summer. However, all English classes will have an

opportunity to visit the school library before final exams

if students wish to check out books over the summer.

Books can also be checked out from the main school

office during the summer, or from the Anderson

County Library system. Go to andersonlibrary.org for

the hours of operation of the branch near you.
