FOREWORD

I have always been one to shy away from the subject of an-gels — probably because there are those who choose to trust inthem instead of Jesus. But the truth is that God did use angelsin a mighty way to proclaim Christ’s birth. An angel appearedto Mary, Joseph, the wise men; and God chose to send a host ofangels to announce the birth of His Son to the shepherds thatglorious night.

In Special Delivery, the entire children’s choir is made upof angels. The majority of the musical takes place in heavenwhere the angels are attending the “God Squad Academy.”They are warming up their voices and sharpening their skills asthey wait to be called to go to earth and make the grand an-nouncement. Michael and Gabriel lead the cadets in a reviewof some of the prophecies surrounding our Savior’s birth andthe many miracles God has preformed for His children. Mary,Joseph, and the angels themselves learn that our God is a mira-cle-making God and that because of Jesus Christ “All Is Well”indeed.

“Angel” means “messenger.” My prayer is that God woulduse our children to be His messengers this year. May the storyof God’s great love for us be so evident as our “angels” singabout Jesus our Savior, and may Jesus be gloried for all He hasdone for us!
