Seeking Volunteers
The Widening Participation Unit (WPU) is looking for volunteers to collaborate with us to create a unique project that raises cultural awareness and funds to sup-port the financial hardship experienced by students from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds
Volunteer Collaboration
WPU is looking for students, academics and professionals from our community, who are from refugee or asylum seeker backgrounds.
We would like you to share with us a special sweet recipe and a memory of why this sweet is special to you, including perhaps the feelings, faces and places these sweet memories evoke for you. In sum, we ask that you: - Provide us with a sweet recipe - Provide us with a memory of that sweet - Be available for an interview - Potentially be available for photos and a video
The Sweetest Memory Fundraising Project
Your shared sweet recipe, along with its memory will be collated into a book called The Sweetest Memory.
Once compiled, the Sweetest Memory will be sold, with all funds raised to go towards grants that support students from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.
