Wow! it was wall to wall people at our 3in 1 extravaganza on Saturday May 20th. Perhaps over 90 people. Every one was so excited.
It was about celebrating... 1. The face and figure exhibition. 2. The great hand challenge, a sample of all the artists entries of hand drawings and announcing the winner of the hand trophy. 3. Recognising Roxanne as Whitehorse Arts Association Model of excellence 2017, and also recognising the Life Models’ Society for excellence of gover-nance. What a day!

WAA Great Hand Challenge
All artists are apprehensive when faced with drawing the hands. So WAA gave out a sheet of instructions and tips on drawing hands and challenged artists to draw their own hand, one drawing a night for two weeks. Then enter four drawings in ‘The Great Hand Challenge’. The aim to help artists be more confident in drawing hands.

It isn’t me
It’s a walking vehicle for my consciousness
My spirit embodied
It is shapes; light hits planes, reflects,
And the contrast of light and dark defines me.
This is the vehicle I’ve borrowed.
You don’t see me
You see the shell
The veneer of who I am,
you can never paint me,
For I am invisible.- Roxanne
