It Came Upon A Midnight Clear It came upon the midnight clear That glorious song of old From angels bending near the earth To touch their harps of gold Peace on the earth good will to men From heaven's all gracious King The world in solemn stillness lay To hear the angels sing

Still thro' the cloven skies they come With peaceful wings unfurled And still their heavenly music floats O'er all the weary world Above its sad and lowly plains They bend on hovering wing And ever o'er its Babel sounds The blessed angels sing

And ye beneath life's crushing load Whose forms are bending low Who toil along the climbing way With painful steps and slow Look now for glad and golden hours Come swiftly on the wing O rest beside the weary road And hear the angels sing

For lo the days are hastening on By prophet bards foretold When with the ever-circling years Comes round the age of gold When peace shall over all the earth Its ancient splendors fling And the whole world give back the song Which now the angels sing

Yet with the woes of sin and strife The world has suffered long Beneath the angel strain have rolled Two thousand years of wrong And man at war with man hears not The love song which they bring O hush the noise ye men of strife And hear the angels sing

O Holy Night O holy night the stars are brightly shining It is the night if the dear Savior’s birth Long lay the world in sin and error pining Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth A thrill of hope the weary world rejoicing For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn

Fall on your knees O hear the angel voices O night divine O night when Christ was born

Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we Let all within us praise His holy name

Christ is the Lord O praise His name forever His power and glory Evermore proclaim

The First Noel The first Noel the angel did say Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay In fields where they lay keeping their sheep On a cold winter's night that was so deep

Noel Noel Noel Noel Born is the King of Israel

They looked up and saw a star Shining in the east beyond them far And to the earth it gave great light And so it continued both day and night

And by the light of that same star Three wise men came from country far To seek for a king was their intent And to follow the star wherever it went

This star drew nigh to the northwest O'er Bethlehem it took its rest And there it did both stop and stay Right over the place where Jesus lay

Then entered in those wise men three Full rev'rently upon the knee And offered there in His presence Their gold and myrrh and frankincense
