WORLD PLUMBING DAY CELEBRATIONS IPA HYDERABAD CHAPTER (HC)

IPAHC celebrated World Plumbing Day at Hotel Jubilee Ridge, Madhapur. The event was attended by around 110 delegates.

The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr.V V L Narasimham - mmediate past president, IIA,Andhra and Telangana Chapters. He is a practicing Architect, Landscape Architect, Interiorand Ecological Planner since 1992 in Hyderabad. Mr.V V L Narasimham has been a visitingProfessor, Jury and Examiner for the last 2 decades at various Schools of Architecture inHyderabad.

Mr. Srinivas, Chairman, IPA HC welcomed the Chief Guest, all IPA members and guests. Hestressed the need for right plumbing standards in India and IPA’s efforts towards RedefiningPlumbing Standards in India. He also requested everyone to help in water conservation,recycle and reuse of water. The poster made by IPA towards water conservation waslaunched.

Mr. Sravan Kumar, a senior IPA member and Kitchen Consultant, who also served as Masterof Ceremony read out the Message from the Chairman, WPC. He requested members to hugplumbers to mark a new beginning towards extending respect to the plumbing community.

The presentation by the Chief Guest was appreciated by all. He spoke about the deterioratingecosystem in the world. He emphasized that available water resource in Haryana, Delhi andRajasthan is critically low due to the high depletion of ground water.

He spoke about the consequences of not conserving water bodies – citing the example of therecent floods in Chennai. He said that at a micro level, study of safe plumbing practices andconservation of water was very important. Storm water needs to be impounded, stored andreused after treatment. Leakages need to be rectified to conserve water. He emphasised thatwater conservation should be made mandatory while developing our cities.

Smith and Eversure, who were the sponsors of the event, made technical presentations onHeat Pumps.

Mr.Sanjay Bhilare proposed the Vote of Thanks and requested the participants to join IPA tostrengthen the Chapter and actively benefit society
