GENERAL REGULATIONS
PARTICIPATION 1. Only the National Federations or Committees duly affiliated to UWW for the year 2017 can participate in the event. They are fully responsible for entering their athletes within the deadline. 2. National federations or committees can enter a maximum of 2 athletes in the weight category for Seniors and a maximum of 3 athletes in weight category in classes, Cadets, Juniors and unlimited in the class of Veterans. 3. Each competitor (Cadet, Junior, Senior and Veteran) must have a UWW license valid for the year. For the license, the following documents are requested: a passport copy, an annual medical certificate and a photo. The licenses are exclusively sold at competition and the price is: - CHF 100.00 - (or 100.00 - Euros or 110.00- US$) for Juniors, Seniors & Veterans - CHF 50.00 - (or 50.00 - Euros or 50.00 - US$) for Cadets. - CHF 30.00 - (or 30.00 - Euros or 30.00 - US$) for Cadets and Junior is the price for temporary licenses. 4. Each Senior competitor must be 20 years old or older. Competitors aged 18-19 years old (born 1998-1999) are allowed to participate in senior division upon presentation of a medical certificate. 5. Each Junior competitor must be 18-19 years old (born 1998-1999). 17 years old athlete is allowed to compete in the Junior category with a medical and a parental certificate. 6. Each Cadet competitor must be 16-17 years old (born 2000-2001). 15 years old athlete is allowed to compete in the Cadet category with a medical and a parental certificate. 7. Each Veteran-A competitor must be 35 - 45 years old (born between 1972-1982), each Veteran-B competitor must be 46-56 years old (born between 1961-1971). Age and nationality will be checked with the passport at the weigh-in. 8. Each contestant deemed to be taking part of his/her owns free will, responsible for him/her, shall be allowed to compete in only one weight category: the one corresponding to his weight at the time of the official weigh-in. 9. Preliminary entries (number of participants) must be sent to [email protected] and [email protected] (World Pankration Committee) before 27 August 2017. 10. Final entries (participants’ name) must be sent to Russia Pankration Federation and WPC before 27 September 2017. 11. The delegations in need of a visa to enter Russia must send their visa application forms to before 27 August 2017.

The participation fee for each athletes for each type of the program: - Pankration - Euros 50.00 - for Senior & Veterans, Euros 40.00 - for Junior. - Pankration Athlima - Euros 50.00 - for Senior & Veterans, Euros 40.00 - for Junior and Euros 30.00 - for Cadets. - Pankration Athlima + Pankration - Euros 80.00 - for Senior & Veterans, Euros 70.00 - for Junior. - Pankration + Palesmata + Polydamas - Euros 80.00 - for Senior & Veterans, Euros 60.00 - for Junior. - Pankration Athlima + Palesmata + Polydamas - Euros 80.00 - for Senior & Veterans, Euros 60.00 - for Junior, Euros 50.00 - for Cadets. - Palezmata + Polidamos - Euros 50.00 - for Senior & Veterans, Euros 40.00 - for Junior and Euros 30.00 - for Cadets.
Is paid to the organizer in cash during accreditation.

13. The delegations will be welcomed by the organizing Committee upon their arrival in Sochi International Airport and will be driven to the hotel. Transfer (from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport) is provided free of
charge. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Adler-Arena. Transfer from the hotel to Arena-Adler and back is free.
14. Competitors are under the exclusive responsibility of their National Federation or Committee through their respective coaches. Any breach of the rules will be sanctioned according to the UWW Disciplinary Regulations.
TECHNICAL CONDITIONS
1. The competition will be run according to the UWW Pankration official rules on 3 UWW approved mats. 2. The competition will take place in the official weight categories and no weight allowance will be accepted: Cadets (16-17 years old) Cadets (Boys) 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, +75 kg. Cadets (Girls) 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, +70 kg. Juniors (18-19 years old)
Juniors (Men) 60, 66, 71, 77, 84, 92, 100, +100 kg. Juniors (Women) 53, 58, 64, 71, +71 kg. Senior (20-35 year old) Seniors (Men) 60, 66, 71, 77, 84, 92, 100, +100 kg. Seniors (Women) 53, 58, 64, 71, +71 kg. Veterans (Men) 36-56 years old

Each competitor will be requested to undergo a medical examination before the official weigh-in, during which his/her competition uniforms will be inspected for compliance as well. 4. The drawing of lots for position in the brackets will be done by the competition software automatically. 5. The following competitors are allowed to enter in both styles: male Junior, Senior and Veteran athletes can enter in Pankration Athlima and Pankration as well. Cadet and Women only in Pankration Athlima. 6. Competitors who forfeit a match without proper medical certificate will not be allowed to proceed throughout the tournament (even in other styles) and will be withdrawn from the final ranking. 7. The UWW license covers medical assistance to the competitors in the event of an accident occurring during the competition. If a competitor wishes to have a medical examination or receive a treatment that is not linked to an accident that happened during the competition, either he/she or his/her National Federation will be entitled to bear the related costs. 8. Each competitor will be required to wear the UWW WPC approved competition uniform complying with the international regulations that is:
Pankration Athlima: Mandatory should wear endyma, 4oz gloves and shin-instep guards. The first competitor called shall color white endyma, and white protectors, the second one blue endyma, and blue protectors. In addition, competitors in full divisions are required to wear a groin guard and a mouth protective cap.
Pankration: Mandatory black shorts and blue or white rashguard, head guard, 6oz gloves and shin-instep guards. The first competitor called shall wear black shorts, white rashguard and red protectors, the second one black short, blue rashguard and blue protectors. In addition, competitors in Pankration divisions are required to wear a groin guard and a mouth guard. 10. Individual prizes will be given to each weight category: 1st place 1 gold medal, certificate 2nd place 1 silver medal, certificate 3rd places 2 bronze medals, certificates 11. The first three teams in senior age group in each style will receive a cup. 12. Points will be allocated to the first eight ranked in each weight category and will count for the World Ranking of athletes: 1st place - 10 points, 2nd place - 8 points, 3rd places - 6 points. 13. The organizer will conduct random anti-doping test among the gold medalists. The categories concerned will be selected and publicly announced at the end of the weigh-in. The laboratory used to analyses these tests will be IOC/WADA approved. The procedure for undertaking the tests and transporting the samples to the laboratory is laid down in the UWW Regulations and in WADA`s Anti-Doping Code.

REFEREES 1. In accordance with the United World Wrestling regulations, each delegation participating with more than 3 athletes (all styles combined) is required to enter at least 1 referee of the highest category available in the country. The National Federations or Committees that would not comply with this rule will be imposed a penalty invoiced at the end of the year. 2. Only the UWW WPC certified referees with a valid 2017 license may work in the competition. 3. All referees must wear a red endyma. (Red endyma can be purchased from the organizer) 4. All referees must attend the referees’ course preceding the competition.
COACHES Only one coach is allowed to the competitors’ corner. The coaches must wear their national team tracksuit when performing their match duties and abide by the International Code of Conduct at all times.

The athletes who compete in Pankration Athlima must wear endyma white or blue.
The athletes of Pankration Athlima and Pankration from their weight category can jump to the upper category The athletes can combat in one category only and can make only a jump of category at its disadvantage, starting from their
own category to which it belongs, by going in the superior category (e.g: from Cadet to Junior and Junior to Seniores), with a medical certificate and parental authorization. Or from their own weight category, by going in the superior weight category without any authorization. The veterans can
compete in the seniores category. Each nation can bring not more than 2 athletes for each weight category.
NOTE: Tous les arbitres doivent porter un endyma rouge et des
chaussures blanches. Les athlètes qui participent en Pankration Athlima doivent porter endyma blanc ou bleu.
Les athlètes de Pankration Pankration de la leur catégorie de poids peuvent participer dans la catégorie superieure. Les athlètes peuvent combattre seulement dans une seule catégorie et peuvent faire qu'un saut de catégorie à son
désavantage, en partant de leur propre catégorie à laquelle elle appartient, en allant dans la catégorie supérieure (p. Ex.: Cadet à Junior et Junior à Seniors), avec un certificat médical et une autorisation parentale. Ou de leur propre catégorie de poids, en allant dans la catégorie de poids
supérieure sans aucune autorisation. Les Vétérans peuvent participer à la catégorie seniors. Chaque nation ne peut pas apporter plus de 2 athlètes pour chaque catégorie de poids.
