Feud brought to the streets of Verona.

There was a feud in the town of Verona brought by yet again the Montagues and the

Capulets. Tybalt and Mercutio were both fighting and Romeo put his hand in to stop

them but Tybalt stabbed Mercutio. Tybalt is now blaming Romeo for causing Mercutios death because he said that if Romeo didn’t put his hand in to stop the both of them from fighting then he wouldn’t have been killed.

Romeo wants to get back at Tybalt.

Romeo became furious about what Mercutio said to him. (His last few words.) “A plague on both your houses.” Romeo went after Tybalt and came upon him.They started to fight but Romeo didn’t want to kill Tybalt because he is related to Juliet and Romeo thought that Juliet would get mad at him. “Put not another sin upon my head.”

Are Women Been Treated Fairly?Over the past few weeks, people have begun to wonder if women are actually been treated fairly? After all, they have very limited legal rights. So, should young girls have to marry at the young age of about 14 or should they be allowed wait until their late teen-early 20’s? One story that shocked many was that of the love triangle between Romeo, Juliet and Paris, in the end causing all three to die. It all started when Capulet informed his daughter that she was to marry Paris in a few days time, not knowing his daughter was already married to his rival’s daughter, Romeo Montague, and had even spent their wedding night together in his house! Juliet refused to marry Paris, to her fathers outrage and

was so determined to miss the wedding she faked her own death!

Also, what people find unfair about the way in which women are treated is that they are expected to stay at home and mind their kids if they have any. They have to do all the cleaning and housework at home and miss out on any kind of education because of this. They also aren’t allowed to act in any plays, so therefore young boys have to act as them. They are also not allowed vote or enter the professions e.g. Law, medicine or politics. Overall, I think women aren’t treated fairly and should be shown and given more respect. I’m sure we’ll have more news on this in the next few weeks!

Crimes and Punishments

Local woman thought to have been a witch is burned:A local woman was spotted yesterday at five 0’ clock in the

evening mixing potions together. The Prince and his squad were immediately contacted. The lady was sentenced to be burned at 12

noon today.

Local baker stretched for poisoning the Prince with rat substitute:

Local baker, John Peterson was found to have been guilty for poisoning the Prince. Baker John Peterson was asked to prepare a banquet for the Prince last Sunday evening. Ever since then the Prince has been vomitting ferosicially. The local baker has been

found to be putting rat substitutes in his Sunday loaf. John Peterson has been sentenced to being stretched.

The montague and capulet feud fires up again on the streets of Verona:

On Monday last yet another fight broke out between the “Capules” and the “Montagues.” Tybalt trom the Capulet family took on

Benvolio from the Montague family. The Prince found out about this and rushed straight to the scene. The Prince said, “If ever you

disturb our streets again your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace.” They were warned, but no, they did not heed the

warning..................................... later on that week another huge fight broke out between Mercutio and Tybalt. After a long struggle Tybalt took out his dagger and stabbed Mercutio, leaving him for dead. Romeo was devastated about this and fought back at Tybalt, killing him. Romeo did not heed the warning, “If ever you disturb our streets again your lives shall pay the forfeit of the peace.” As a result romeo was banished from Verona and sent away to Mantua.

Local country man hanged due to quarrel at a local market:

At Tuesday’s market, this week, a man got into a quarrel with the security men over rising prices in vegetables. The man would not let up and later began to trow a fist at the security man. There was

no better punishment for this man, other than to be hanged.

Housewife be-headed over failure to clean the house and cook dinners:

It has been reported that a local country housewife was in bed sick after a dose of the chickenpox. The woman failed in her household

duties and her husband ordered for her to be be-headed.
